Engelhart Investment Group has teamed with director Dimitri Logothetis and writer-producer Nicholas Celozzi on a biopic of mobster Sam Giancana, reports Variety.
Logothetis and Celozzi acquired life rights to the flamboyant Chicago Mafia boss from Giancana's daughter, Francine Giancana.
Sam Giancana had a long-standing friendship with Frank Sinatra, and Sinatra's "Rat Pack" often played Giancana's Chicago clubs. The mobster was also one of the first to be called in front of television cameras by Bobby Kennedy during the McClellan committee hearings.
John Turturro starred as Giancana in "Sugartime," the 1995 HBO movie about his affair with singer Phyllis McGuire.
