Director Keenen Ivory ("Scary Movie") and actors Marlon and Shawn Wayans livened up a dull pitch market when they hit studios with a pair of comedy propositions.
The first film is a spoof of science fiction films like "Signs" and "Independence Day" that will do to sci-fi what "Scary Movie" and its sequel did so profitably to horror films.
The deal also calls for Marlon and Shawn to topline a comedy in which they would tart up in drag, much like Martin Lawrence did in "Big Momma's House."
