Diary of a Mad Black Woman director Darren Grant is set to helm 20th Century Fox's comic adaptation

The story follows a female African-American government agent who finds herself shrunken down to a teenaged girl but retaining all of her special sleuthing skills.
The combination of the family appeal with action elements is said to be what attracted Grant to the project. "I liked the crossover potential, and that this had a bit of edge and action to it," he said, "which was a departure to what I'd done before."
