Ross Katz To Write, Direct 'Amateur American'

Ross Katz, producer of the Oscar-nommed “Lost in Translation” and “In the Bedroom,” is set to write and direct an adaptation of political suspense novel “The Amateur American.” The story follows a young American expat in France who gets drawn into a web of violent political intrigue and corruption when he takes a job translating for a shadowy pawnbroker.
