Synopsis: Brody is a loser, an insurance salesman on the edges of society. One day, he takes the phone number of a patient at the clinic his sister works in, and tells the woman's parents that their daughter is HIV positive and pregnant. From this prank call, born of frustration at his own life, Tanya's is forever changed. Her abusive father reacts violently to the news, and during the ensuing fight, she shoots him. Guilty, Brody visits Tanya in prison and the two hit it off immediately.
