John Cleese In 'Earth Stood Still' Talks

IGN has learned that Monty Python veteran John Cleese is in negotiations to join the cast of Fox's remake of the 1951 sci-fi classic The Day The Earth Stood Still. Keanu Reeves, Jennifer Connelly and Jaden Smith star for director Scott Derrickson.
Cleese will play physicist Dr. Barnhardt, a Nobel Prize laureate who plays a key part in figuring out the mission and meaning of the arrival of the alien Klaatu (played by Reeves).
