Synopsis: The movie takes place in Mexico, 2002 (based on a story from the 1800's). A young Father Amaro arrives at his new church post on the orders of the Bishop. After he arrives, things seem to go smoothly at first, but eventually, life becomes very complicated for the young Father as he spends more time in the community.
