Myth
On the 4th of July, a couple of us went out to set off fireworks (the types that are illegal in Oregon 
). Anyway, we had an assortment of fountains and mortors. My friend had the brilliant idea to light a mortor with a fountain but the first try didn't work. So he went to do it again but this time he tilted the fountain at a 45 degree angle against a rock towards the mortor. What my friend didn't realize was that the firework was not a fountain, but a box of 6 mortors that he had angled without something to hold it down with its kick. When he lit it, it fired off towards the river but the kick made it flip back facing us. We were all too shocked to move at first and it shot just to the side of us. We of course then started to run but it kept firing and just by chance decided to keep turning in the direction that we ran. We eventually got behind a huge cement column while it shot at us. It even hit the column with 2 of its shots. It was some pretty scary shit. The rest of the fireworks were boring after that but damn it was funny.
