I say that Thor lifting the Midgard Serpent is the greatest feat.

If possible, please focus on characters that show a purely "physical" strength.
The serpent encircled the earth, and was easily larger than that TINY portion of the mountain held aloft by Hulk in Secret Wars.

This took some strength.

Thunderstrike
Squirrel Girl taking Thanos.

batdude123
I think the greatest feat of strength was when Superman 1 Million punched a hole through the time dimension and was sent 83,200 years into the future IN A WEAKENED STATE!

Big deal, my neighbor did that once.

Dude, your neighbor's a BEAST! stick out tongue

Thunderstrike
I did that yesterday when I woke up. I call it farting.

Murda Mase
What about when Lois takes Superman's climax?

Thats a good deal of strength for a normal girl.

Thunderstrike
Not from what Brodie from Mallrats says. Anyway, I bet he pulls out, and then he's missing a wall.

hulk resisting the matter/anti-matter attraction force (something which is supposed to be physically impossible).

The Hulk pushes apart the spheres of an anti-matter bomb... then hits one with such force, it overcomes the inertial field.

if you believe he did it, (i feel it has NOT been shown conclusively, but someone else disagrees . . . shifty ) hercules upholding the earth/heavens is likely next. that would mean he held the earth AND the serpent . . . (course, i guess you'd have to credit atlas with the feat as well . . .)

Here is Hulk holding the infamous 150 billion tons or rock. He actually seemed to be struggling with it and said he could barely hold it much longer...........................

Feats of strength... I really have begun to hate these all powerful guys, what happened to the times when people thought of Galactus as Uber? Now there are guys who push around planets and rearrange galaxies!

Mr.Majestic has some huge feats of strength... whoever wrote him doing that needs to be fired of his can.

What really gets me, is that anyone can create a character that can lift 1,199,098,098,000 metric tonnes, but the character themselves are hollow, and 2D-ish. Superman is somewhat believable, but now he has clones that make his pre-crisis feats of strength levels look foolish. I hope that they bring it down a notch with all of these Uber Duber Dudes.

snoopdogg
This is pretty cool feat here. All-Star Superman #3 Superman armwrestles Sampson and Atlas at the same time! The earth was trembling and he went on to break Sampsons arm and put Atlas in the hospital.

He was even whistling a tune during the match. Happy Dance

Not to mention that he was not really holding up a 150 billion ton mountain, because his feet and hands and then body, would have sunk into the rock under it's own weight.

Hulk back then had some pretty crazy strength feats.
What about the celestials using planets as bowling balls........

Busted the Phantom Zone dimension. Especially impressive (read: insane) given what the Phantom Zone does to a person's physical body.

I lifted a pretty big box the other day. I was proud of myself. I'd say, relatively speaking, that's like me lifting a mountain or something, right?

I don't know how she won but I have seen a scan of her standing over him and the watcher confirms that it really did happen and wasn't a fake or anything etc

Pre crisis Superboy moving a SS. (wich a bigggg chain)

Post crisis Superman towing the moon with others and Warlord

All Star Superman armwrestling match making the surface shake and volcanos arise (Credit to Samson and Atlas as well)

Hulk with the MA feat and the -twice earths- sized asteroid and punching a time storm

Thor with the Midgard Serpent feat and the World engine

Superboy Prime punching the walls of continuity stick out tongue

Gladiator smashing a planet in three shots: big bang

Hercules helding the Earth/Heavens (yes im the one Leo is refering to. Credit where is due, meaning: me), towing Manhattan (with another bigggg chain) and to a lesser extent toppling Godzilla making the surface shake by several blocks

An Hercules and Thor armwrestling match generating pressure to knock the Earth out of orbit

Atlas also credit with the Heavens/Earth feat

Thor and three other avengers catching the million of tons island formed by Graviton

Majestic moving planets around (rebuilding the ss?, dont quite recall)

WW towing the moon with two others

Celestials playing bowling with dozens of planets at the same time

Im sure there are others.

nathan summers
Black Panther #10. Luke Cage turned down some hot p*ssy. Does that count?

olympian
Forgot about three:

Namor breaking the crimson bands of Cytorak that wer restraining him

BRB busting a planet to hit Stardust

Juggernaut punching dimensional walls

Juntai
..

Actually, it was a galaxy. laughing out loud

olympian
Pfff i lost count after some time!

And lets not forget the strongest there is:

Da Chains! They managed to hold planets and islands together in order for the feats to be performed!!

Adding:

That Moon Superman feat on its own (never remember about that one)

Aquaman lifting a city block underwater

Juntai
Yeah the water displacement for that aquaman feat was insane... thousands and thousands of tons.

I thought there was more to the story than just that. Like something to do with Dr. Strange in a astral form or something.

Thunderstrike
Though Strange was in the Astral Form, those bands should not be breakable.

joesha28
Actually Thor lifting the Midgard snake is the best strength feat from Marvel. But the Thunderer has been overshadowed by Majestros. Maj rearranged the solar system. That's the best. In comic strength feat, Majestros is the title holder with Thor only a runner-up. I can't believe i said that! I can't.....

olympian
"I thought there was more to the story than just that. Like something to do with Dr. Strange in a astral form or something."

He was. But he also stated that even in his astral form, no physical force would be able to break it.

Its a high end.

"Actually Thor lifting the Midgard snake is the best strength feat from Marvel"

Hulks high end feats are even more insane. What Thor did there was planetary level, not above.

Want a even better strenght feat i wasent aware of before? Thor and Hercules with strenght only have punched a "interdimensional gate" and destroyed it. While both being in theyr own home realms.

With Credits to thorion in his own Hercules thread (hes good at finding these goods):

http://img128.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=loc300&image=08484_bridwixt.jpg

Thats higher. Add that.

juggernaut66666
namor breakin the crimson bands of cyttorak was stupidity even galactus could not break it

olympian
Depends on the level Galactus was and especially the level Strange was.

Was it Strange acting as Eternity avatar? That all counts.

manjaro
yes i actually remember super boy towing a large number of planets...i think i actually posted that pic somewhere..thats definatley #1....then #2 is superman adding his strentgh to tow the moon out of orbit, cuz when you think about it the Earth weighs approxiamtley 6 billion trillion tons(yes thats a real number) the moon is about half that so we're talking 3 billion trillion..now when you calculate the 1/3 that superman was responsible for, even disergarding gravitational forces, and emost importantly without sundipping you'll find that not even a scientfic calculator has numbers that go that far ...and props for WW and Kyle for thier effort too

i would harp on pre crsis superman ,but that would be too cheap...even tho when the hulk was doing all that ridiculous stuff throught the 70s-80s at that same time superman could time travel under his own power, and exhale hurricane force winds,,,and yes sneeze away a solar systembig grin

manjaro
the greatest hercules feat was when his dad banished him to space and he forced himself on evry female he came across,(sucessfully i might add) even that fire chick that was galctus herald...oh and he tried to get galatus drunk too:d i swear its the funniest shit ever printed

olympian
I actually never saw the sneezing a ss one. Any scans?

He wasnt.

Juntai
Superman blows a 'giant star' with super breath.
Its kinda feat of strength, lungpower. Not armpower tho.
It's derivative of his strength though, I think.

Juntai
Superman in Sacrifice punching Wonder Woman halfway across the solar system and knockering her out.

Not many can claim to be able to do that in a physical fight with Wonder Woman.

olympian
"He wasnt."

ok, now for the other part. Was Galactus weakned? He has been taken down by less when he is in that state.

Anyway, it doesnt take any credit out for Namor, its a high end feat and that means others failed where he managed to suceeded.

Yeah, he got a son out of that, that also fought him years later. Said son conquered a galaxy or some such.

And juntai, good call in ko WW in such a fashion.

Juntai
I mean, damn, most people have trouble knocking her down, let alone several planets away.. That's incredible.

Juntai
Lightspeed+ engines pushing Warworld against Supes, and him pushing it backwards anyways.

Validus
Wonder Woman blacked out. That's not the same as a KO.

King KAM
Hercules lifted the planet on his shoulders

manjaro
dont have the scan but kyle using his ring to uproot manhattan to move it out of the way a a massive tsunami...then putting it back in its orignal place on a molecular level
