The newly formed and inexperienced Alpha Flight goes toe to toe with the X-Men. This is their first apperance and the battle starts off with Shaman creating a strong barrier around the arena where the Calgary Stampede is held. This is done so no one outside could enter. Here he toys with the teenage Colossus and after his cockyness got the best of him getting judo tossed he was right back on his feet in the next page.

Uncanny X-Men #432-434 (Vol.1): Juggernaut
Another badly written battle Alpha Flight is in. Sasquatch is really pounding in Jugz until Guardian tells him to stop, which gives Jugz the opening he needs. The fight continues and Jugz hits Vindicator, which sends Guardian into a frenzy punching out Jugz even making him bleed. Wait what? Mac isn't a melee character; he would have just blasted him with his energy blasts that can even kill Sasquatch. Next, Jugz shouldn't even be able to touch them due to their speed, flight and Mac's computer mind oh and his shield. Wait...didn't Sas destroy Jugz shirt? but later doesn't he have it back on? Why was Vindicator shooting machine gun fire? Once again AF is written to job once again. The fight literally lasted for a minute as noted by Northstar

Her powers are augemted on a great scale, Tanaraq takes out a super-powered Morbius, takes a full blast from Zarathos, destroys him, and takes out Kulan Gath who is on Dr.Strange's level and who doesn't even feel pain anymore all without little effort. True badass. Gath used his spell to unleash their inner-bad, and their power was twisted and augmented by one’s connection to the supernatural that's why instead of Heather transforming into Sasquatch, Tanaraq was freed

Tanaraq takes full control of the team and beats most of them will not even trying and later blackmails them to do his biding. He wants the Exiles to go across this relality and asks all the evil genius to help him locate the Timebroker. While the others go do what Tanaraq asks, Beak goes to Canada to locate Shaman for help. Shaman already knew he was coming due to a unlikely source told him prior. So Shaman and Exiles start their plan to rescue Heather from Tanaraq. Here Tanaraq easily manhandles Namora who is class 100, knocks out Doom with one blow, rips Morph in half

Hulk Annual #8: Hulk
Ordered by the government, Sasquatch is sent to get Hulk who has been reported in Canada. Upon arriving Walter finds Bruce Banner with a lady. So he grabs Banner and begins to toss him in the air to try to bring out the Hulk to test his strength. He was being careless and when the lady told him to stop, at the time Walter was holding him over the cliff his shirt ripped and he fell. Luckly he transformed while he fell and Sasquatch felt horrible for it. Basically they fight and Sasquatch stalemates the Hulk. In the end when his guard his down, Hulk gives him a backhand for good measure and leaps away. Sasquatch can land better than the hulk can when leaping and has "second strongest legs on the face of the Earth. He went toe to toe with the Hulk for 30 minutes and Sasquatch didn't even go into his rage strength boost either

Exiles #44-45 (Vol.1): Sasquatch (Exiles)
A healing factor feat for Sasquatch, where she saves TJ by jumping in the way of Illyana's attack taking a blade to the back. She is bleeding pretty bad and about to die; so TJ goes inside her to kick start her transformation. While this happens the rest of the Exiles are attacking Hyperion and Mimic tried to and failed against him. He didn't even budge him, and then a weakened Sasquatch pops in and gives him a good shot rocking him. The fight with Hyperion ends 5-10 minutes later and Sasquatch's wounds are all healed.

I find that interesting that she is considered not as bright as the 616 Sasquatch since she has done some pretty impressive stuff herself. Even currently in the Exiles title she is leading the team from the background even though she lost her powers. Also she is bulletproof as well as regenerative. Mr. Fantastic made to "restore most of the strength he used to possess". Sasquatch dominates him, even stopping Ben from even landing one hit. Headlok also mentions Sasquatch's power increase when he becomes angry "I feel Sasquatch's physical surge".

The Incredible Hulk #272 (Vol.1): Wendigo
Sasquatch is sent to find Wendigo, and he eventually does saving Bruce Banner. At the time he didn't know who it was, and once he did figure it out the distraction gave Wendigo the opportunity to attack. Then Sasquatch's goal was to hold him while Bruce ran, but Bruce eventuall transforms and they take Wendigo out together.

After Heather had to kill Snowbird to stop Pestilence, he was free to possess a new body. His choice....Snowbird's Sasquatch form. Boch who usually commands Box just was given new legs and a new body by Lionel Jeffries that's why he looks a lot different than his other apperances. Walter in Box form admits that Box is not half as strong as Sasquatch, and the form Walter was in in the past and this current form could press 85 tons. So that proves the handbooks thats state Walter to be just 70 tons is false.

Alpha Flight #55 (Vol.1): Great Beasts
Walter is having a identity crisis and the Great Beasts are going to use that to their advantage. Not in their full power, but still powerful enough. Few errors, there are 6 Great Beasts the two not shown are Ranaq and Kolomaq. Manikin's physhic death at the hands of Somon should have stuck, but in the next issue he was fine. Only a person like Talisman can bring them back from the dead as said when they first encountered the Great Beasts. Anyways none of the Great Beasts die, just sent back to their dimension. If they were at full strength as Shaman said all their actions would just be a delay at best. They had to defeat the Great Beasts in 20 minutes or they would never defeat them, regardless Great Beasts jobbed here.

After Talisman has her first confronation with Dreamqueen she has to warn Alpha Flight, but secretly Sasquatch is under Dreamqueen's spell to bring her the Talisman of power. Sasquatch plummets through a skyscraper and remains unharmed. The fall was huge before she hit.

Nope, Tanaraq isn't dead as I mentioned Tanaraq even took control the next time Snowbird took his form (After she ripped out his heart). You can't kill a Great Beast. Even near the end of vol.1 when AF was fighting the Wrecking Crew Sasquatch made the comment the more he transformed into Sasquatch the more Tanaraq was taking control (AF #119). He kinda uses a different Sasquatch form, but it was a form of Snowbird impersonating Tanaraq. When she took this form against Pestilence, he forced Tanaraq to take control over her body and with him and the rest of the Great Beasts attacked ALpha Flight. Sasquatch is merely an avatar for Tanaraq that he channels through, just like how Tundra in Alpha Flight #1 wasn't the real Tundra but an earthly avatar as mention in AF #24

It was mentioned in the fight with Mauvais, as he called Sasquatch a traitor going against the Great Beasts fighting for the Arctic Gods

edit: Somon has had his heart ripped out and head crushed yet he still lives and appeared during the Wendigo Mauvais battle when he was banished to the Realm of the Beasts

Yep, but Tanaraq was in the Realm of the Beasts and Sasquatch created a rift opening the dimension becoming his avatar. He didn't know that at first, but Exiles Sasquatch goes more into the contract. The Great Beasts have escaped the Realm many times

Even the scans prior stated by Sasquatch he is weakened by just transforming yet Thing still states he is stronger. Thing admitted, "Sheesh! Wolverine #165 & 172 (Vol.1): Mauvais
Mauvais is a character that Dr.Strange even admited he was unsure he could beat (“the reemergence of evil, Wong. One that has not seen the light of the sun for centuries—one that I am not certain even I can stop” ). Mauvais hundreds of years ago even clashed with the Ancient One (1789). Mauvais is mad crazy and wants to get revenge against the Gods of the Artic since they have ruined his plans multiple times. So he creates a barrier blocking the gods from this world using the bodies he killed from a tv show . The North Gods are the same people as Snowbird, so cutting them off from her will weaken here. After being freed when the barrier was destroyed Nelvanna easily beats him, and the Gods of the Arctic are said to be equal with the Great Beasts. Mauvais upon entering the Realm of the Beasts and discovering it's occupants was terrified.

Walter is currently Wanda, but then submits to a scan by a machine he himself devised, which shows him to be an amalgam of male human with female immortal, and a polygraph test, under which he tells his whole story. The judge is told by Canadian National Security not to award the fortune to Walter, since the government doesn't want Alpha Flight to be independently funded. Walter has an attack in court. The gods and great beasts burst out from him and battle. He is forced to aid the gods as Sasquatch and drives the beasts away. He rejects the gods, too, and his money, which goes to Veronica. This might have been an illusion from Dreamqueen though

This is the process Walter use to have to undergo to transform into Sasquatch. Also to note, this goes into the Sasquatch vs. Thing fight and Walter even admits he is weakened. What annoys me is people keep spouting off Thing was weakened, and thing was traveling all across Canada to find Walter. Yet, he took a rocket and there was no mention of him being weakened. Fanboys for ya.

I hate to bring this up again but Thing does say "I'm wasted! I'd like to drop in my tracks" in that last scan. He's tired from trying to find Walters campsite. Sasquatch admitts he's weak and so does Thing. big grin

Is it just me or does it look like he's just destorying the 2 pilars next to him? IMO that doesn't equal punching through dimensional barriers. He's just destroying a machine which affects the reality. That's how I see it. Apologies if I'm wrong, but that's what I got from the scans.

Nope, the pillars were just there. They wern't even near the source of the trans-displacement machine and the fact that none where actually in the same location. Some where in Montreal, the arctic, Edmonton...etc. If it was just destroying the pillars none would have been brought to where Sasquatch was.

So.. What's there to indicate that he punched a hole in the reality. It just looks like he's smashing colums holding the thing. Like they state, the whole thing is caused by the ship. Well, destroying part of the ship might help, wouldn't it?

Nope, like I said they wern't even in the ship yet it was a trap to stop people from actually entering the ship. They as stated were not all in the same room at the same time, he got angry and performed this feat. It's definetly more than breaking some pillars.

It was, because afterwards they were teleported directly to Alpha Flight who was captured, basically due to Walter wanted that to happen. Prior none were even in the ship yet.

Basically all I listed, he broke down the dimension and by doing so teleported everyone in the Plodex ship directly in front of Alpha Flight the ones they were trying to look all over Canada to find. I don't know if it's the pillars or his arm but his arm seems to be glowing even right up to his shoulder. Anyways far more happened to just knocking down the pillar, even Sasquatch was shocked that it happened the way it did. As mentioned the angry he gets the stronger he gets to Elder God status.

Besides, they are clearly all in the same room, some of them are just walking on the walls. The fact that they can hear each other tells us something.

Yeah, it's much easier to desribe as trans-displacement traps are not the most easiest to explain.

Here the events and scans to what happened before Sasquatch punched down the trans-displacement trap

Three things we know:
1. They came from three seperate locations
2. No one entered the ship yet
3. We know something else went on since if Sasquatch merely broke the pillar and that was it, they all would have been sent to his location in Calgary. However, we know something more happened as the entire team was teleported to the arctic where the ship was, and teleported directly in the middle of the ship right in front of Alpha FLight the ones they were trying to find all across Canada.

I mean like physically everything crashes. I don't see him punching a hole in the reality, I see him smashing 2 pillars which connect to the stages/paths/(the machine) they're standing on. Can you clearly proof it that he did indeed punch a hole in the reality? That the pillars had nothing to do with the breakdown?

This reminds me too much about the debate whether DeathVerine was enhanced or not :/

I wouldn't have brought this up if it was clear like when Juggernaut punched down the dimensional barriers. Now, we can't really say for sure (At least I can't, but hey. I don't like Alpha Flight :rolleyes smile

Actually yes, as the source of the machine is in the arctic where the Plodex ship is. Sasquatch was in Montreal, completly away from the source of the Plodex trap. If you read it you would have known they came from 3 seperate locations, yet you argued I can see them so that means they have to be in the same location.

Assumptions? that's what happened. Do you want me to provide scans of the Plodex ship in the Arctic. Do you want me to provide scans of after the trap broke that they were instantly teleported in front of Alpha Flight. It's not assumptions as that's what directly happened.

No they never mentioned portals, and if it was merely breaking the pillars which there was more than two but the entire team would have been sent to Sasquatch's location in Calgary not in the Arctic and not directly in front of the captured Alpha Flight. I posted all the scans, explained in and it clearly shows it's vastly more than just knocking down pillars. As even in different locations all over Canada, Sasquatch destroyed the ceilings and floors and all were teleported to the Arctic. Even Sasquatch's arms are glowing performing this feat.

Remember, Sasquatch is an Elder God older than the Earth and the personification of Death on Earth when it was first commencing to come alive. The angry Sasquatch gets the stronger he gets. From the scans we clearly see it's vastly more than just punching a pillar.

Yes, I do. However, this is a Sasquatch respect thread not Alpha Flight. No I don't, not until Omega Flight comes out.

Your not respecting Sasquatch at all, basically your saying something didn't happen when it did. Then I provide scans and then you say I'm making assumptions but that's what is shown in the actual comics.

No it's pretty obvious more happened than that, as why did they get teleported to the Arctic and in front of Alpha Flight? Also no, there were other pillars in the cavern or Sasquatch's location as well. We can see them behind Puck II.

That's my point, even though they believed they were in Chicago they wern't. Just like how the trans-displacement trap as they stated they wern't really there. They never left the location, and yes they were the only ones in the Arctic closest to the Plodex ship, but still aways off as they noted later.

Nope, because the Plodex has many hubs underground but there is only one mother hub as shown with the Master's base in the Avengers.

It;s different as the Plodex ship as the Master's Plodex base covered the entire Northern Hemisphere. There are many ways to enter into the base, but not actually be in the headquarters. Also no, as they mentioned they wern't in the same location

No, they were looking for the central hub, which is located in the middle of the Plodex ship that has teleportation capabilities allowing them to pop up anywhere. However, of course that was located in the Arctic far away from Sasquatch.

No they don't, and we know from just that image showing was happening. Something unique, and no you would be wrong as they were not in the ship until after they destroyed the trap as shown. Then they were directly teleported to where Alpha Flight was being held.

Actually we don't know where that base was located. Only Centinnel and Nemesis as stated went to the North Pole.

Actually he was far from Tanaraq there, as noted the angry or pain he feels the stronger he gets as Tanaraq begins taking over his mind. He holds back as he noted, but there his anger punching the trans-displacement trap let it out. In Alpha Flight he transformed into Tanaraq in seconds after Snowbird attacked him and Snowbird had to transform into Tanaraq herself to stop him. It was even commented the more he transforms into his Sasquatch form the more Tanaraq is taking over his mind. That was stated in volume.1

As of yet we don't know if he will join the team or not, but he appears in issue #1 knocking out the Wrecking Crew and Oeming stated the Great Beasts will appear, and Sasquatch is Tanaraq's avatar after all. There's no mention he will be part of Civil War as yet, but Omega Flight was created due to the events of Civil War.

Then I explain what happened and then you say I'm making assumptions of what happened but that's what happened. He's an Elder God, Mauvais who Dr.Strange was unsure he could beat was terrified of the Great Beasts. However, your right I overeacted it's due to I was getting agitated from two debates in the vs. forum and your getting part of it.

End of the series resulting in two teams of Alpha FLight created, one the original team was in space rebuilding the Plodex homeworld and then there were temporal copies of the original team from the past brought to the present. They were summoned by Shaman to correct the temporal issues and they were not allowed to be sent back into their own timeline as they were brought here for a reason.

So we don't know if it was the temporal copies or the original team that fought and died against the Collective in New Avengers #16

But wasn't the Chicago thing a mere illusion? Nothing more than that. I got the idea that it was just part of the defence system. That the Trans-displacement wasn't activated before that. Where did the Cap and the warrior guy begin their journey from?

Buuut.. I kinda got the picture that they all ended up in the same place. If not.. Well, My basis is screwed.

1. Sasquatch & co are located in the trap. They have no way out. He's bothered by everything that has happened recently. He smashes 2 colums next to him and the trap is disabled

Which of these options shouldn't have worked? A break of 2 mere colums struck me as the more unlikely solution to the problem.

Dr.Strange always underestimates his own abilities. After all, in the end it was Wolverine & Aplha Flight who ruined his day. Where was Tanaraq during that battle? And I don't even remember seeing him next to the other great beasts when Mauvais-Wendigo was transported to their lair.

And after all, I'm just confused about the whole thing. In the beginning it was quite hard for me to understand how the trap works (And it still kinda is) and you HAVE to admit that it SHOULD be a lot clearlier if he was punching through the fabric of reality. We had to go through all this just to get to some kind of conclusion.
