INCOMING TRANSMISSION... SECTOR PERDITUM... 312TH DEATH KORPS OF KRIEG:
TRANSMISSION DISPLAYED:
This is Commissar Hestin Falkirk attatched to the 312th Death Korps of Krieg. We are
requesting aid on the Planet IV of your solar charts in the Sector, we need reinforcements, supplies, dammit we need anything! This is a request, no, a plea for aid from the Warmaster - the Orks are upon us, I repeat, the Orks are upon us... supplies are low, ammo is lower, morale is dropping and there is only so much I can do. There's thousands of them, thousands of unending waves of the Greenskins, we can't hold them much longer, we are pinned down without any clear conception on where to go! We need help!
MESSAGE OPTIONS...
1. RESPOND
2. HOLD
3. TERMINATE
...
OPTION 3 SELECTED... MESSAGE TERMINATED.
Welcome to the 312th Death Korps of Krieg, a battered and bloodied regiment that has just suffered a three month war of attrition against an unending tide of a splinted from an Ork Waaagh! For these three months, these three long months the regiment has faced countless defeats and countless more dead, supplies are running low and morale is dropping at an increasing rate. The Orks have made advances, crushing any resistance the Imperial soldiers have attempted to with hold, and for awhile things didn't look so grim - that is until even more Orks showed up from seemingly no where at all.
Plea's for aid have gone answered, the time for victories has long passed them, they fight knowing that they will not survive another month, they fight because it is all they know how to do.
Welcome To Hell.
Game Information
The War
Sector Perditum, (completely lost/goneforever in latin), was discovered by an Imperial investigation force and was soon uncovered to have habitable planets. However, humans weren't the only ones to find this, an Ork army was found and a Warmaster by the name of Grebraltin was called upon to fight the dreaded Greenskins and liberate the sector in the name of the Emperor and Imperium. They called upon many regiments, Cadia, Valhalla, Praetoria, they called upon the Death Korps of Krieg to besiege a certain planet known eternally as 'Planet IV'. Sent to an unknowing fate of doom and hardship, the regiment took to the ground, fighting the Orks as soon as bodies went planetside. For three months bloody conflict took place, for three months Ork and Human fought and died, bled and cried upon the field of battle. For three months, Krieg was losing.
The Imperial soldiers were pushed back to their own fort nicknamed 'The Colosseum' because of the hellish and inhumane fighting and death that occured there. A vast network of outlying trenches, mine fields, barbed wire, bunkers and other such fortifications have been built around to last for a substantial siege - the only problem is so many have died.
The 312th, the last surviving regiment of the three month conflict, took to the defense of The Colosseum in an attempt to stall the Orks until reinforcements arrived, strangely, their pleas went unanswered, ignored, forgotten, destroyed to keep a greedy Warmaster's honour intact - a defeat would only soil his perfect record. So now the 312th fights, uncertain of their fate minus the fact they were sent to die. Morale drops every day, the Orks send wave after wave towards them, draining their ammo and supplies... but recently the attacks have gotten bigger, stronger, the Orks realising that the time for action is now and they have been utterly relentless. For days on end the regiment has fought, holding but only just, waiting in vain for a response from the Imperium that has abandoned them. Now only raw courage and luck can save them, now only the stout will of Humanity is all that is left between victory and utter destruction.
Where does your fate lie?
Wargear
The world and universe of Warhammer 40k is full of magnificent and exotic weapons players can chose from, and a formal list has been written up for the players to examine and make choices based on the character they enjoy playing.
Lasrifle: The standard rifle of the Imperial Guard, it fires a shot of compressed ionized air. While alone it is not the most powerful rifle, combined and in massed numbers it can prove (and has) to be a deadly foe.
Laspistol: The pistol variant of the lasrifle.
Hotshot-lasrifle/pistol: Hotshot lasrifles/pistols fire a more super-heated shot which has a lot more damage than your standard rifle. However, they over-heat more easily and have a shorter range.
Heavy Bolter: A Heavy Bolter requires 2 men to fire it and is essentially a heavy machine gun
Grenade Launcher: Self-explanatory
Flamer: A flame thrower
Plasma Rifle: A very powerful gun that can melt through most armour. However, it has a chance to literally explode in the users hands and kill him.
Lascannon: another 2-man weapon it fires a super blast that is designed against armour. However, it can fire one shot and kill most infantry in that one shot.
Grenades: Self-explainatory
Chainsword: Most sergeants will carry a chainsword, it is essentially a sword but the blade being a chainsaw, they are tough and can withstand a lot of punishment and very deadly.
Power Sword: Essentially a sword that can slice through flesh and armour with ease at the will of the Psyker.
Power Fist: Like the Power Sword only in the form of a massive hulking metal fist on the users hand and arm. The ability to punch through just about any armour makes up for its bulky size.
Bolt pistol: A bolt pistol is more powerful version of laspistol, but instead of firing ionized air it fires a fat bolt slug that can rip through flesh.
Autocannon: A lot like the heavy bolter, autocannons are more powerful and a bit fasterto fire, they are devasting against swarms of infantry.
(*Please note the list is subject to change and any additions/tips are more than welcome*)

Please remember, this regiment has been fighting for three months now, so they are dirty, tired, morale is low, unless your personality is an optimistic one you are most likely depressed.
This game is also sticking to the traditional universe of Warhammer 40k, so please keep it Warhammer 40k.
Any question feel free to PM me or ask them away on the OOC, I'll be more than willing to answer. Have fun and let's enjoy some good roleplaying! RP Thread will be made as soon as 3+ people create characters, thanks again and grab your boots soldier because we're going in!
