He's a slow worker, though. Get ready for delays.
Is it always this time of year we see the game of musical chairs between Marvel & DC? Contracts seem to come up, and we see who is left without a seat when the music stops.
David Finch has covered a lot of Marvel. It will be interesting to see who he tackles over there. Batman seems right; he'd be too dark on Superman.

They should have got Loeb or Millar. sad

I can understand Marvel wanting to get rid of one of the worst writers, Loeb, but why would they want to get rid of one of their best, Millar?

it's not a question of being good or bad at marvel imo. both men would write an awesome superman (and loeb has proven it already).

i highly doubt marvel wanted to get rid of finch.

DC can have Loeb and Rulk disgust

There you go. Finch can draw like Jim Lee, but he's even slower.
Anyway, it's Frank Miller's writing that is the problem. But, the series is on permanent hiatus. DC looks to be trying this idea again, with Geoff Johns & Gary Frank instead.

just loeb, thanks.

WickedDynamite
The thing with Loeb is that he can create interesting stuff like Hush. However, it takes another writer to make the adjusment...like Dini did with Hush.

Now that I think of it....

Dini+Finch= WD VERY HAPPY! droolio

xJLxKing
What did Finch create, wrote, or whatever that was so good?

Alpha Centauri
No huge loss. Best of luck to him.

Brubaker would have been a bigger loss and a bigger gain for Marvel and DC respectively, especially if he began writing Batman.

Kris Blaze
AC to the Marvel defense.

THIS IS NO LOSS! MARVEL IS STILL SUPERIOR!!!

WickedDynamite
laughing out loud

Anyone else thinks Finch should not do Superman? I wouldn't mind a darker tone for Supes.

BruceSkywalker
kudos to dc... be nice if he did do batman's artwork

he's an artist, so i don't really see what difference he'd make to the books...

Alpha Centauri
I was wondering that.

What's he gonna do? Use darker red and blue inks?

1) You do realise that just because I'm not the largest fan of DC, it doesn't mean I don't read any DC comics or comics from other companies, right? That's precisely why I have a Superman sig, many DC comics, and a Superman shirt; because I'm coming to Marvel's rescue.

2) It's not a loss though, is it?

ARRRGGGHHHH......pains me to say it................really hurts........reality is enveloping on itself as a result........but for once.............

AC is right about something.

WickedDynamite
Darker Blue or Red ink?

I didn't know Finch was also an inker.

Jim Lee certainly made a difference with Killer Croc in Hush.

and loeb wrote it. erm

WickedDynamite
Loeb's Batman was good....he does know the characteristics of Supes and Bats pretty good.

I just can't figure out his Hulks stuff. hmm

willRules
Or the Ultimates.....

Alpha Centauri
Loeb wrote Hulk: Gray.

Regardless of his run on Hulk now, that's still one of the best Hulk stories ever.

-AC

willRules
Which is great, but Rulk is one of the worst. sad

MORE FINCH...MORE! MORE! MORE!

roughrider
I was wondering when he was going to get started. Isn't there a Marvel series out right now that still has Finch artwork?

willRules
The opening one shot to X-men second coming was drawn by Finch, but aside from some covers (I think?) that's his work done at Marvel.

They trade Canadians around like commodities, don't you know. stick out tongue

DC brings David Finch over, to make up for the fact Dale Eaglesham got recruited by Marvel.

WickedDynamite
I loved Dale Eaglesham work on JSA. He always makes the character look humble.
