first scenario seems kinda unfair, you basically have gavin superman and ares the same power, but gave ares and axe to go along with it.

So first scenario is basically just Superman vs Superman with centuries of combat experience and an Adamantium Axe. Yeah Ares wins handily.

Second Scenario: Superman with just as much ease.

Superman is still faster so he beats Marvel Ares as well.
