Democracy Now! used to cover this on a very regular basis, stuff that it was really difficult to listen to.

Hopefully they get some resolution from the lawsuit, justice needs to be done in this case.

Yea the Military doesn't care about it employees. They boast about how they will severly punish sexual abusers, but yet they don't kick them out. You can get kicked out for drinking and driving but rape is a joke to them? Really?

i see things never change.

a lot of times NCIS is called in a lot of ppl mistakenly take it to chain of command rather then straight to the legal office and requesting mass which cannot be denied.

the problem is that victims are often treated as equally guilty parties which keeps them from immediately calling or filing criminal/sexual assault charges.

than you also have to consider how many women in the military cry wolf which isnt reported but it is a lot. one of the reasons that certain officers and chain of command would be more willing to dismiss under false assumptions.

Sections also often have something to lose from being shut down reassigned if reported which is a another reason to cover it up since militarily some of the blame can be placed on chain of command effecting their rank and promotional qualification to even dismissal or legal action against them... a reason to try and downplay and cover up such reports.

another issue is that the military legal system can and is by necessity black and white, right and wrong and very little in between. Which can cause certain "evidence" statements thrown out and even though the accused may be found guilty and harshly punish by the USMJ it also requires similar actions be taken to the victim who may willingly or unknowingly committed criminal violations...

as an old barracks, Anonymous, safety NCO i seen a lot of shite and been part of a lot of shite that happen in my area and seen the military system at work.

right down to similar thing that has mention in the OP and often times i was as angry toward the accused as i was for the victim both sharing equal blame.

Female sleeping with chain of command, NCO's forcing themselves on their Junior female Marines to the point charges arent filed b/c the female had willingly slept with him in the past and would be brought up and she would then later be charged as well.

anyways... it all sickens me.

'Did not struggle enough?' Are they ****ing serious with that ****ing bullshit? Is there some quantifiable ****ing unit of measurement to how much someone needs to struggle for it to be rape?

Is it wrong to want to castrate the soldiers?

Not at all, it would make people think twice, before attempting to force themselves on someone else.

Or they could issue Rape-aXe, that would scare the crap out of any guy!

Wow thats messed up. I never would have thought the military would go so low. It's Pathetic.

How come so many guys on the web are Man-ginas?

A male feminist. A man who is overly concerned with women's issues to the point of complacency or contempt for those of his own gender

Many women cry rape and or lead guys on.

I think the FBI's finding was between 5-10% "cried wolf." That's a small minority.

1 in 10 or 1 in 20 not that small, if you're one of the 1 in 10 men who is falsely accused Man-gina.
