*Flexes* Thanks for the anatomy lesson.
And yes, I realize that muscular things have an increased vasculature. However, this rendition of Hulk:

Looks ridiculous in that regard. srsly

Great... 90s art.
Prep-Man
Hulk looks incredible! I think this will be good. Hulk has been a joke as of late.
srankmissingnin
At the very least we should get some cool weird new Hulk villains knowing Aaron.

What's the point of this relaunch?

To distance the Hulk from the rest of the Hulk family and start with a clean slate?
Prep-Man
oh, know another relaunch!! relaunches are in these days, kids. i hear an x-men relauch will be coming soon. hahaha.

Couldn't they do that with the current ongoing and the change in creative team? Just doesn't make sense to relaunch just to get another "#1" issue out there.

The could, but would people who dropped the Hulk book because of all the Hulk Family stuff know about it? It's easier to change the branding and market a new book I guess.
But I already think we should have new 1-12 issue runs every year.
Prep-Man
its all about money. #1 issues sell better than 12 or 22.
Kazenji
At least Jeph Loeb is'nt near the character.

Looking forward to it Pak has done an overall great job on Hulk but I think it's run it's course.

I like the art, reminds me of simpler times as a kid when I actually liked the Hulk.

Varient Cover for issue #1
http://comicbookmovie.com/fansites/joshw24/news/?a=45152
Batman-Prime
I liked the first cover better. Since it begins with a #1 I think I will get it, looks good and I like the first cover, reminds me of the second movie and the story seems interesting enough. mhmm

EDIT: Wrong thread.
theICONiac
Picked up IH # 635 tonight...all the ICON can say is 'Good riddance Greg'.
What a sorry sendoff. All style with nary a lick of substance...nothing but over-the-top explosions. And some fighting. Then some more explosions. Some dialog, more fighting...then more explosions.
The best is approx. the last 25% of the physical comic is dedicated to some serious Pak-Wanking jwank from a sizeable chunk of the Marvel roster.
If when Stan Lee dies he gets even half the praise that Pak had showered upon him in this issue he will be doing good.
Omega Vision
Seems like comics are reverting to the 90s...

Looks good.

Just read the first issue: Not bad I thought.
JakeTheBank
I thought it was cool.
vansonbee
^ Same here, I hope they follow-up with a back-story of what happen during the break-up.
I guess the new writer didn't want to push Hulk to the edge and kill those humans without compassion... he's too lovable
JakeTheBank
Is it a cardinal sin that I prefer Hulk with rudimentary intelligent and vocabulary beyond that of Savage Hulk's?
I liked Professor Hulk and Green Scar/WWH but not a big fan of the classic.
BruceSkywalker
just read the first issue, better than i thought it would be.. will continue to buy
Nihilist
Art was painfull to look at.
Kazenji
Had a look at a review over at CBR
pretty much saying not a great deal of story for issue 1 but probably start happening in issue 2 for that side of things.

Silvestri just has to get his legs under him, he's actually a very good artist. He has always had a hard time sketching larger individuals than Colossus, so this may not be the best title for him. Dale Keown would have been a much better choice.
Kazenji
Have'nt read issue 1 yet but the prequel story in Fear itself book 7 with Mike Choi's art was good........don't know why Aaron did'nt continue with him.

Hulk vs Banner, Issue 4 preview

I'm liking this story arc. It's controversial. Banners now nuts even though he just achieved his one goal in life. It's quite morbid.
Kazenji
And oh look it seems Mark Silvestri is'nt on the art from issue 4 onwards for those who did'nt like his art.

I feel you. I really didn't like the 7 year old Hulk myself. I would be great if the best Hulk artist ever returned to the title. Dale Keown.

Steve Dillon on the art
janus77
good grief that's looking shit. why does Punisher look like Will Wheaton (from his cameos on TBBT)?
vansonbee
Hulk looks like freaking King Ping >_<
Blight
Does it hold a candle to Peter David?
Kazenji
Wrong choice you have picked for the art Jason Aaron
Dillon is better off on a Punisher book.
Bentley
Dillon is the best thing to happen to the Hulk franchise, mark my words
guy222
hey all
hope its gets better
didn't like doom in the issue and banner needs hulk and vice versa
janus77
Sadly it does look like Hulk is going down the toilet, again.

No. Because Peter David was the best Hulk writer ever, and during his lengthy run Hulk was smart and articulate, even funny.
janus77
I think Hulk needed the psychological stuff to come to an end. Pak did brilliantly and genuinely built-upon the progress that had been made in the relationship between Banner and Hulk.
I wish the writers would have moved on from all the "Hulk hate puny Banner" BS. It got old when Bixby and Ferigno were doing it on telly, it is frankly archaic in comics to see that now.
Banner has evolved as a "person", much shrewder, more confident and calmer with the Hulk. The Hulk in turn, has a much more rounded and mature personality to him. He's humorous, he's bluff but caring... etc et.
This last story with the split Hulk/Banner, was just very lazy writing.

I actually enjoyed it regardless of the writer.

Steve Dillon was on for part 1 of Stay Angry and then it got Pasqual Ferry for Part 2

Been strange this book with whatever the hell Banner is up to.
The Sorrow
This popped up on my Facebook feed:
http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=40326
Retitled to "Indestructible" Hulk, according to Waid there will be an in-story reason for the change in title. It doesn't really have the same ring to it but I think a refresher was needed to the Hulk franchise.
Jason Aarons stories have been a bit dull, and having Hulk/Banner warring with each other seemed like a regression of the stories Bruce Jones and Greg Pak wrote. This new run looks as if it will return to the status quo prior to JA's run and build on it, the ideas he has for the Hulk-verse look interesting.

I didn't mind the first story arc that Aaron did, Its the Stay Angry story that he's been doing its been strange.

It started out promising but it quickly fell flat imo, his run looks like its pretty significant though in leading Hulk into the new Marvel NOW! Era so perhaps it will all make sense by the end of the arc. I'm glad I haven't wasted my money though only been reading his run online.
lft4ded
'Indestructible', 'Juggernaut'? While these apellations have all been applied to Hulk in the past, in light of Colossus' currently lackluster performance and Cytorrak's maybe disapproval of Cain (I guess we'll see after he shows back up in Thunderbolts), I wonder is that a sign of things to come? :O
The Sorrow
Another, more in-depth interview with Waid on Indestructible Hulk:
http://www.newsarama.com/comics/indestructible-hulk-mark-waid-marvel-now.html
Basically confirms the robot following Hulk is SHIELD/Maria Hill, gives his take on the Hulk/Banner dynamic and some insight into what he will be doing with the character.
DarkOdin
My biggest problem with the latest run of Hulk is his hair is no longer included in his healing factor and he walks around bald for the most part.
