FORCE SABERS ALL OUT

Based
Kenobi

carthage
Kenobi for me as well

Nephthys
Angral

Selenial
Kenobi.

carthage
The Kenobi trashing never stops either.

NewGuy01
RotS Kenobi is trashed severely.

AotC Kenobi would probably lose this battle, though.

Uh, I said RotS Obi-Wan gets trashed in these parts, a lot. That being said, by AotC he probably isn't Angral's superior.

He had yet to get his Soresu on. cool

On this forum we think AotC Kenobi >>> his RotS self. I thought it was pretty obvious, he put up a much better fight against Dooku there than in RotS, I mean cmon. roll eyes (sarcastic)

Uhh, I'm guessing this is a joke.

Cause Dooku was trying to turn him to the dark side and was toying with him in AOTC.

Also, He was toted as the greatest Soresu master to ever live by Mace.

Uhh, didn't Kenobi start training in Soresu as soon as he saw how easily Jin's defenses failed him?

Nephthys
Jokes are for sad little babies who poop a lot in their diapers. We are super srs here. The Chris Nolan of Star Wars forums. And I am the Batman.

No he tried to kill him.

Mace is stoopid.

Seems legit, carry on good sir.

In the RotS novel Dooku was taken by surprise by Kenobi's Soresu, which he had never demonstrated in the past. Obviously this has been contradicted by their encounters in the Clone Wars, but in their AotC battle Dooku had never seen Kenobi practice it.

FreshestSlice
Dooku was actually impressed by Anakin and Obi-Wan's growth from the end of TCW to RotS. The problem is that Kenobi seems to not know what a Force Shield is half the time. Considering he doesn't have any remoteness of this growth, he'd have to blitz.

Selenial
Indeed, for someone so specialised into defense, his defense against the force was laughable.

NewGuy01
He was ragdolled by Dooku, an incredibly potent Force User. That's hardly a count against Obi-Wan.

Sure, Ventress also did it, but that was also in a state she's not usually in. She did the same to Anakin, who we all know is infinitely more powerful than she.

Other than that, it's just Maul, who only was capable of it on a Dark Side Nexus.

Selenial
Maul did it on Florrum....

That's not a Dark Side Nexus (Is it?)

carthage
Didnt Savage choke him or send him flying with a force wave too?

XSUPREMEXSKILLZ
Yeah, but that was in rage mode. Where he choked Dooku.

carthage
Angral didnt have any remarkable force feats anyone has mentioned

That toss hardly constitutes as a ragdolling. I was referring to their encounter in Sith Hunters.

FreshestSlice
"Toss?" It was several feet. It probably had more to do with Maul acting out of desperation though.

Selenial
Edit: Double post

Selenial
Not really desperation at that point, Maul and Savage could have beaten him alone had Savage not screwed up, they were toying with him.

FreshestSlice
It happens after Savage gets his arm cutoff. Maul was clearly desperate to get away. Doesn't really matter how the rest of the duel went.

Ahh you're right, but maul did lift him and slam him into a wall (Just like Dooku did) before that.

Yeh, Seperatist destroyer above Toydaria, though he was amped by his hatred and betrayal by Ventress.

I mean, he got Anakin too, had to be some other underlying factor.

Kalen Sykes
Considering he stalemated Anakin, until Skywalker's poor decision making cost him an arm and 2 legs...), it sometimes appears as though Obi-Wan gets underrated. Just an observation.

FreshestSlice
Obi-Wan fought an emotionally wrecked Vader who went as far as to choke his own wife. Even then he was getting his face stomped in and only won because of the "high ground" that always works to his advantage.

Ah, I forgot about that one.

That's what I originally thought, too, but according to the revamped Databank:

"Both powerful and evenly matched, the two former friends dueled to a stalemate until Anakin attempted to leap over his old Master, which Obi-Wan warned him not to try."

Eh, it does say that, but since that's not what happened in the movies or the novels and they're "still canon" I'm going to go with Obi-Wan was getting thrashed.
