So I was looking at the canon articles for the lightsaber forms to see what they've put in there, and apparently Qui-Gon Jinn is a notable practitioner of Form V, and not Form IV, and they use the movie as a source. This has to be incorrect.

But I guess there's nothing stopping Disney to change Jinn's style to Form V if they really wanted to, theoretically speaking. It would still make sense. Since Jinn doesn't use the acrobatics of Form IV and used power blows a lot.

This must be a simple mistake on the part of the author, surely?

It wouldn't be that bad if they changed his Form to Shien/Djem So, it would sorta make sense in some ways.

Probably should keep it as Form IV though.

Ares, even in the old EU Jedi could draw on multiple forms since they were trained through them all(save Juyo) they just also had a preference for a style that was their main.
