Wonder Woman vs. Supergirl

This is Supergirl from the CW show. Standard equipment for both, meaning WW has her sword, shield, lasso and armor. Supergirl is... in her costume. Morals off, fight in the open fields of Wakanda. Who wins?

h1a8
Good fight. The sword might give WW an edge (pun intended).

TheVaultDweller
Supergirl, as she is portrayed at week-by-week levels, loses. Supergirl, when fighting at her best, wins. Like with most CW characters, the writers have pretty much thrown consistency out the window. Power-levels are largely dependent on plot nowadays.

I agree. But WW can significantly damage her with that sword.

Darth Thor
^ Not convinced. That sword did not help her much against Steppenwolf.

wasn't that a regular sword though

Darth Thor
^ Does she have a special sword?

Inhuman
It was stated in the WW film that the sword wasn't anything special. WW herself was the "weapon" to defeat Ares.

h1a8
She is using a different sword between WW and the other two movies.
The latter sword is special. It cuts DD easily, slices through tons of solid stone like tissue paper.

shhh.. don;t tell h1 that

HulkIsHulk
Would it kill anyone to remember that the sword in WW was destroyed so by common logc the sword she uses in BVS and JL is another one?

Post the scene where it cuts through tons of stone like tissue paper.

Her sword sliced Doomsday hand off and cut through his tendon.

So, what feats against slashing/piercing damage did Doomsday have to make the sword cutting him impressive. after all, it didn't do much to Steppenwolf.

Where is it stated that her new sword is "Special" ?

Any sharp object Wonder Woman cuts with could do damage, because she has super strength.

The sword sliced through shit that no ordinary sword can slice through. Plus it magically glows when it is used (just like her bracelets).

At 1:13 Superman lifts the head and throws it at WW. WW's sword easily slices it and magically glows (just like her bracelets and her shield).

Yes well, we know Supergirl is a lot tougher than stone or cement.

You finally managed to post evidence, congrats. that only took a few years. now. having to channel energy just to cut through stone isn't very impressive. hell, Deadpool's normal swords can cut stone without the need for charging.

The sword glow could be friction from the cut, the heat of the cut made the sword glow like that. Inconclusive since there is no evidence that the sword is special other than a well crafted Amazonian blade.

Deadpool's "Normal non-special" swords cut through metal, the bullets he cut in half as well.

NemeBro
That red glow is due to the friction of the metal going through the stone. You can actually see the sparks lol.

Swords don't glow when single slicing through objects instantly.
Real swords aren't durable enough to slice through over a ton of stone like it's tissue paper. The sword would have broke into pieces or seriously warped before that happens.

Which would be even worse for h1's point, as getting superheated just going through a statue's head is very low-end. it actually massively hurts his argument that her sword was all that special.

Deadpool stabbed his sword into concrete without so much as a scratch.

If any sword cuts through thick stone like tissue paper then it is more durable than any metal on REAL EARTH. This is because no sword is durable enough to do it without being seriously damaged or warped.

WW's sword is better than any real world sword = it's a magical super sword.

Cap is better than any real world human = he's peak human.

Nice to see your double standards.

Cap is better than any real world human and there are fictional humans that can match him = he's peak human or lower in relation to fictional humans.

Nice to see your double standards.
I corrected your post.

It's magical because of the glowing.
It's better because of feats of cutting durable ass shit.

Are you retarded? the same argument you just applied to WW's sword also holds true for Cap.

Wrong! You changed the meaning that led to a faulty analogy. I corrected your post. If you believe the corrected post still makes WW's sword also hold true for Cap then say so. Then i'll fix you for it.

Silent Master
The fact that you can't even see your hypocrisy/double standards is amazing.

TheVaultDweller
If you want to see some completely nonsensical object/weapon durability, which also happens to be on topic, as it features one of the contestants, check this out:

CDygr-xZL_E

Seemingly indestructible piece of concrete attached to rebar lol. Because earlier in the very same fight, the two go smashing straight through concrete walls without either picking up a mild scratch. Hell, Supergirl has tanked pointblank minigun fire IIRC.

Gotta love CW writing lol.
