Old Man Whirly!
Bend it like Beckham meet Heather's meets Lost meets Alive. Crazy shit, good so far.
Robtard
Liking it.
Like a female version of Lord of the Flies, but taken all the way to 11 with the violence.

So does it anger incels?
Patient_Leech
Oh shit, watched the trailer. I'm intrigued...

Just got green lit for season 2. Shows awesome

Best new show of 2021 hands down.
Robtard
It's going to end on a cliffhanger most likely.
Patient_Leech
Watched first 2 eps last night and it's great.
This show is very bingeable.
Patient_Leech
Ok, this show IS really great, 6 eps in now.
I enjoyed the Evil Dead-ish homage, but the supernatural stuff seems a little inappropriate for this show. But maybe if it remains subtle enough it won't get too goofy. But I end up mostly laughing at the "horror" moments.
Oh, and is it possible for...
a big ol fu#king deer to be walking around alive with maggots all up inside it?
Is that a thing? Or was it just some symbolic thing?
Galan007
I just got done binging the season. Really enjoyed it for the most part.
There is absolutely an underlying supernatural element at play here, and it's primarily centered around Lottie. The finale provided some loose answers for a few things, but still left us with a ton of questions.
Glad it was greenlit for a second season.

^ You also have that shadow-figure appearing to Jackie in her vision as she was dying: "I'm very happy that you joined us. We were waiting for you" -- presumably the same figure that Van noticed while she was in between... Blood/death rituals are definitely a thing here. Something clearly needs to sate the ancient gods of the sky and earth.

Sound like it's essentially a retelling of Lord of the Flies.
Patient_Leech
I finished this and liked it. But I have some questions...
For example, why is Shauna's daughter not as old as she should be...
But maybe we'll find out she loses the baby... hm..
Robtard
Not gonna put spoilers as it's just what I think might happen... Lottie (the really crazy one) started a cult based on her visions in the forest and that's who is the protagonist in the current time.

Shauna's daughter in the present, Callie was born in 2004. That pregnancy was a different child we have yet to learn more about

The finale suggests that but who knows with this show
Patient_Leech
This show is great. Look forward to the next season. I mean, fu#k, they should go ahead and film the next 2 or 3 seasons honestly..

When the f#ck is the next season for this?
Seems like it should be coming relatively soon..

I believe the release date is set towards the end of March.
Patient_Leech

Old Man Whirly!
Yeah, I got so much to catch up on, I'm so bloody busy at the moment.
Patient_Leech

would anyone recommend this to me???

I really liked season 1, but season 2 is dragging, takes forever to get somewhere.

Yeah, after just starting Season 2 I'm concerned that they don't really know where they're going with it. It's a very intriguing and engaging mystery and cast of characters, but I'm concerned that like Lost it's not really going anywhere concrete or interesting. But the wife and I like it, so for now it works.
Patient_Leech
Episode 2 was pretty good. Finally the cannibalism begins! 😃
