Never let anyone else define you. Don't be a jerk just to be a jerk, but if you are expressing your true inner feelings and beliefs, or at least trying to express that inner child, and everyone gets pissed off about it, never NEVER apologize for it. Let them think what they want, let them define you in their narrow little minds while they suppress every last piece of them just to keep a friend that never liked them for themselves in the first place.
The show is great so far. I love Christina Ricci and what she’s doing with her character, Misty. The younger version of her is also played well. A lot of dark humor
I enjoyed the Evil Dead-ish homage, but the supernatural stuff seems a little inappropriate for this show. But maybe if it remains subtle enough it won't get too goofy. But I end up mostly laughing at the "horror" moments.
Oh, and is it possible for...
[SPOILER - highlight to read]: a big ol fu#king deer to be walking around alive with maggots all up inside it?
Is that a thing? Or was it just some symbolic thing?
I just got done binging the season. Really enjoyed it for the most part.
There is absolutely an underlying supernatural element at play here, and it's primarily centered around [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Lottie. The finale provided some loose answers for a few things, but still left us with a ton of questions.
Well [spoiler]it’s because the woods is haunted and wants someone dead before it will let them eat anything. Hence the earlier episodes saying it “wants blood” [spoiler]
^ [SPOILER - highlight to read]: You also have that shadow-figure appearing to Jackie in her vision as she was dying: "I'm very happy that you joined us. We were waiting for you" -- presumably the same figure that Van noticed while she was in between... Blood/death rituals are definitely a thing here. Something clearly needs to sate the ancient gods of the sky and earth.
Hmm.. spoiler tags are malfunctioning for me. But anyway, yeah that's making some sense after the last episode I watched. I just hope it doesn't go too overboard. I'm seeing some hints that it might be going a little overboard, like with Taissa's strange behavior.
But still looking forward to finishing the show. I think I have 3 episodes left...
