I was just thinking about this. Honestly, depending on your interpretation of the information in the last thread, there's a chance that they're equals; both marginally stronger than Super Boo, but tend to play with their food instead of fighting seriously. Gotenks may win given he doesn't have a timer.
On the other hand, under the other interpretation, this might be spite in Gotenks' favor.
Kid Buu solidly. There's no situation where Gotenks wins, given that Kid Buu is stronger than SS3 Goku who (as of his fight with Kid Buu) was stronger than SS3 Gotenks. Akira himself stated that SS3 Goku was stronger than SS1 Gotenks, but not SS3. Mystic Gohan was also stronger than SS3 Gotenks, however, again, as of his fight with Kid Buu, SS3 Goku was stronger than Mystic Gohan. It's simple.
That... didn't make any sense. Akira stated nothing about Goku's power related to Gotenks'. However, he said Mystic Gohan was the strongest non-fused character. Goku even admitted in the series that Gotenks was more powerful than him, but that he didn't have his experience.
SSJ3 Goku was weaker than both SSJ3 Gotenks and Mystic Gohan. Goku himself stated that he and Vegeta would have no chance against even a base form Super Buu, the same Super Buu that Gotenks went a full 30 minutes toying with. SSJ3 Goku wasn't even positive that he could have killed Fat Buu, and Fat Buu beat Base Gotenks easily. SSJ1 Gotenks was confident that he could defeat Fat Buu despite this, yet even after training in the ROSAT, SSJ1 Gotenks could barely do damage to Super Buu. It took him going SSJ3 to be able to fight on par with Super Buu, and SSJ3 is 4X stronger than SSJ2, which is 2X stronger than SSJ1. So SSJ3 is 8 times stronger than SSJ1, and Gotenks' SSJ1 at that point was roughly at the level of Fat Buu, especially when you consider that SSJ1 Gotenks was as strong as SSJ3 Goku according to the Daizenshuu. So that makes Super Buu 8X stronger than Fat Buu.
Fat Buu fought on par with Kid Buu for over a minute. Grey Buu managed to absorb Fat Buu in less than a few seconds, and Super Buu was overwhelmingly stronger than either of them. So Super Buu is roughly 8 times stronger than Fat Buu, who is roughly equal to Kid Buu.
SSJ1 Gotenks would probably beat Kid Buu.

Facepalm all you want, but you need to admit... Carver's unpopular belief makes perfect sense when you watch Super/BoG movie after Buu Saga, lol. Goku and Vegeta are the only top dogs there, while guys like Gotenks, Mystic Gohan or Mister Buu are fodder.
Similar how Tori trolls us with Krillin being the most powerful human, even though everyone knows Tien should be shitting on him.
You guys are acting retarded. Goku and Vegeta being superior to everyone in BOG's and Super has nothing to do with them in the Buu saga. That's like saying that Vegeta was stronger when he lost to Android 18 than SSJ2 Gohan, just because he's stronger in the Buu saga than SSJ2 Gohan was in the Cell saga.
I've already posted the scans, but I'll do it again. Kid Buu is on par with Grey Buu, and Fat Buu. They're the three weakest Buu's, right above Mr. Buu.
