A recently uncovered extremist plot has put fresh scrutiny on the relationship between US service members and white supremacist groups.
An alleged plot by a young solider to coordinate with a neo-Nazi group to attack and kill members of his own army unit has put new scrutiny on the US military’s failure to address violent white supremacy within its own ranks.
Federal prosecutors have announced charges against current or former US military service members for plots linked to violent extremism nearly once a week this month.
A 2019 survey of readers of Military Times, an independent news outlet, found that more that 36% of active-duty troops surveyed said they had personally witnessed examples of white nationalism or ideological-driven racism within the ranks in recent months – a 14% increase from a similar survey the year before.
The US has known about this issue for a very long time. I recall seeing multiple times US soldiers who had sprayed painted "White Power", "88" and similar on Iraqi homes and ruins during the war.
yeah, I heard about things there from people there. I still reckon it's a minority, but it seems to be significant Rob. But then, the level of radicalisation is increasing everywhere.

Some of you are really stupid if you actually believes the Military doesn’t go hard after those type of people.
He was a fringe individual that escape through the grape vine, just like the Muslim extremist soldier in Fort Hood that murdered multiple soldiers because he escaped through the grape vine.
The same of said killer was Nidal Malik Hasan. I guess you all forgets hue killed 13, and injured 30.
Like I’ve said before, you liberals only talk about the things that further your goals, while staying relatively safe in your safe zones.
Forgive pooty, he can't help creating "America bad!" threads because he is obviously extremely jealous that the United States is far superior to his country.

There's not a lot you can do except prosecute after the fact. It's hard to identify a racist at the start, and the military has plenty of rules and training stating that that type of behavior will not be tolerated.
The military does a decent job of weeding out race supremacists, they police their own. That's not to say a few slip through. Hatemongers can be pretty shifty.
