Why?

We ask all sorts of questions about movies, music, and sometimes tv. This is for posting random questions about anything. Maybe someone else has the answer.

My question: Why is the Sea of Tranquility called a sea when there's no water in it?

Because they thought it was a sea in olden times when they first closely observed the moon.

I reckon the sun finally worked out that it's not really meant to BE in Britain so it buggered off.
