Seems to me because of some signature limitation issues. Pretty petty if you ask me.

The answer, as far as I know, is no. Just logout, abandon your username, or change your password with your eyes closed, so that you have no idea what you set it to.

I supported smaller signatures, yes. People leaving a forum because they lose 50 pixels on a picture is a petty reason for leaving altogether, IMO. You're here to chat, not display a picture under your post.

i see no diference, they can't get it deleted, so why just simple put it into rules or somewhere so everyone will know since the beginng (and i know no one read rules)
