We'll give this thread a while longer, since it's the holidays and a lot of us might not have had the time to go to the cinema. And most of the great films are still in an independent release. So if you haven't seen a great film just yet, no sweat, this'll be kept open for a while.
December Inland Empire
Apocalypto
Blood Diamond
Pan's Labyrinth
Notes on a Scandal
Black Christmas
Eragon
Letters from Iwo Jima
The Painted Veil
Venus
The Holidy
Pursuit of Happyness
Charlotte's Web
The Good German
The Good Shepherd
Night at the Museum
Rocky Balboa
We Are Marshall
Children of Men
Dreamgirls
That's just a shorthand list of films in December. If it isn't on that list it doesn't matter, but it must have originally been released in December of 2006.
So Casino Royale totally dominated November right?
I just havnt seen enough of these movies yet so out of what i have seen I will say Balboa. But ive heard great stuff about some of the others ive yet to see.
My vote would go to "The Departed" which was released in December over here, however not in the other countries.

if The Departed counts I wanna pick that haha. If not I still wanna change my vote from Balboa to Pursuit of Happiness. I just saw like 5 new movies in the last week and Pursuit definitely deserves the vote. (if its not too late)
