Order of the Phoenix information
We currently have sparse information on the fifth movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. The tentative release date for the film is 2007, although what part of 2007 remains unknown. The two likeliest chances are either June 2007 or November 2007. Movies 3 and 4, Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire, are taking approximately a year and a half to complete. Prisoner of Azkaban came out in June 2004, and Goblet of Fire will come out in November 2005. Warner Bros. seems to be comfortable with releasing one of the Harry Potter movies at the beginning of the summer or in mid-November. Order of the Phoenix is the longest book so far at 890 pages, which may result in a longer film. This would mean that the movie would take longer to complete, and may not be released until November 2007 (two years after Goblet of Fire is released), or later in the year.
Whether or not a fifth movie was going to be filmed was unsure until mid-April 2004, when a girl who applied to be an extra in Goblet of Fire received this response from casting assistant Fiona Weir:
Thank you very much for your letter. At present we have all our requirements filled for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. However, should this situation alter in the future your details are on file to be referred to. Unfortunately we cannot accept applications outside of the United Kingdom.
Casting for Order of the Phoenix will not begin until next year and I can only suggest for you to look out for further notices on the official Harry Potter Website. In the meantime I hope you enjoy the next film - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - when it is released this June.
We now know that casting for Order of the Phoenix will begin in the fall of 2005. At the moment, a casting director has not yet been appointed and no auditioning has begun. Currently, Daniel Radcliffe is the only actor who has signed on to film the movie. He will reprise his role as Harry Potter. We presume that many other actors from the first four films will indeed return for the fifth film. We rate their chances of returning and explain our rating here.
Warner Bros. announced that David Yates would direct the film on November 18, 2004. Past Harry Potter directors Chris Columbus and Alfonso Cuarón have both expressed interest in returning to direct a later Potter film, but neither returned for the fifth film. Steve Kloves, who wrote the first four Harry Potter movie scripts, will step down after Goblet of Fire so that he can direct other films. Michael Goldenberg was selected as the new screenwriter for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Coming Soon reported on October 11, 2004 that the movie script is currently being written and that filming will start on the movie in January 2006.

Well i hope the OotP is more consistent with the books.. they butchered GoF.. i could Douse that screenwrite in Gasoline and light him on fire.. he pissed me off.. they switched things in the movie, like in PoA harry was suppossed to receive his firebolt about mid movie from sirius so it could be confiscated and instead it was the last thing that happened.. and in GoF, harry was suppossed to see the dragons first and then talk to sirius in the fire, so sirius can start to give him advice on how to beat the dragons.. and also i know they can't have the movie go on forever.. but what happened with Barty Crouch Jr. getting the dementor kiss? they just leave that wide open and don't touch base on it again, so now when no one believes harry in OotP no one will know why.. and also why wasn't Kreacher in it.. or Dobby.. or LUDO BAGMAN (who had a principle role in the book..) and why didn't Barty Crouch go missing.. and what happened to the Maruders Map and all that.. and also what the HELL happened to all the creatures in the maze.. they had no obstacles.. no spider.. no riddles.. just enchanted bushes, and roots that attack you.. and why didn't they go to like a single class?? this movie left out information that is very important.. and i don't find that acceptable.. i hope that the next film is better.. This new screenwriter they have hired better know who to organize this into a film and cover all the important stuff.. because i'm not sure the other screenwriters even read the entire books..
I'm glad that is two years away it will give us time to get GOF out our system if we could and for them to be able to make it properly and I hope they show Harry's D.A meetings and all his friend's patronus's.

I've read on the Hp website that they've began to pick the actors for the younger harry's dad, his mom, lupin,snape and sirus.
