Most epic song?
What is, in your opinion, the most epic song you've ever heard?
By epic I mean in scope or ambition. It doesn't have to be a long song, or it can be. For example: Reflection by Tool or Reise, Reise by Rammstein.
Go.

Black Rose Immortal by Opeth, ok so it's very long, but it's more deserving of the ''epic'' tag than anything I can think of. And Just Like You Imagined has always struck me as epic for some reason, it really does sound like the end of the world.
Crossing genres, I'd also say Post Mortem by Mr. Lif & co, Stepfather Factory by El-P and Iron Galaxy by Cann Ox.

Off the top of my noodle, I'd have to say "Dechristianize" by Vital Remains. It's truly one of the most evil and malevolent songs I've ever listened to, ranging from the most brutal anti-christian epithets to just plain, outright hatred in general. A true anthem for the ungodly. It tops out at 8 min 45 seconds.

I am not sure the way you mean that but I'd say Stairway to Heaven is pretty epic.....

Bohemian Rhapsody probably defines the concept.
Paranoid Android by Radiohead; Third Eye by Tool; Aenema by Tool; Eulogy by Tool (pretty much anything by Tool actually); many Opeth songs; many Devin Townshend songs.
Special mention for He's Simple, He's Dumb, He's the Pilot by Grandaddy- unbelievable.
Probably most epic song, I think, is The Moor by Opeth.

If not, then tough.

I agree with Paranoid Android and Bohemian Rhapsody...they are just awesome songs (although I still don't understand what makes a Song "epic")

The Moor is probably mine also. Closely followed, as of now, by Earth Day by Devin Townsend.
Special mention to Mutter by Rammstein.

Factors such as size, scope and drama. Much like in literature.

My brother was obsessed with that song when he was 3 years old
I'd say anything by Tool (with a special nod to The Grudge from me) or Opeth, really...Paranoid Android by Radiohead....few others that aren't coming to mind at the moment. Damn.
