Square-Enix and It's Fondness for Multiple Delays

I thought Kingdom Hearts II was coming out this month....and it turns out it's delayed AGAIN until March. Why does Square Enix always delay its products? They've been delaying projects for multiple years now...

Blizzard's far worse...SC: Ghost was scheduled, like, two years ago, but it's still being developed/advertised

though I know what you mean

Most companies do have delays, but Squenix is rather infamous for it. Like FFX-2, the release date got changed so many times for the US release that the official one was announced a week before. There's still no official release date in the US for Advent Children (though now March 28th is the date being thrown around).

There's really not much we can do about it, sadly erm

For some damn reason, VOICING the game seems to take more time than MAKING the game...

It does take a long time to translate and redub it, yes. They have to translate it, hire new voice actors, record the lines, and then reanimate everything so that it matches up.

*sigh* There goes my winter break gaming session. Gonna have to find another RPG to gorge on until Square game releases.

Maybe Dragon Warrior....

Dragon Warrior eek! I've been playing those games my whole life, literally (played the first when I was 3 years old). I need to get Dragon Quest VIII. Which has a demo of FFXII, btw.

Yes. I saw the demo on Gamespot. I wanna play it. I'm curious what that Gambit thingy is. I'm eager to test out the new battle system. They better have at least ONE summon...

Just one, and it's packaged with DQVIII. I haven't played it yet.

The game isn't even out in Japan so I'm rather surprised we've gotten a demo of it already.

Square is slipping up, big time. They're botching their release dates constantly.

Unless FF12 is the best FF game ever, then there is no excuse for it taking so damn long to make.

Who can forget about Valve.

They made it thier duty to constantly miss deadlines. Oh the controversy about the HL2 deadline. Or how Half-Life was remade from the ground up twice.

Was anybody surpraised that HL2:Aftermath got delayed. But, in the defence, both heavily delayed games turned out to be two of the best games ever. So atleast, the company came through.

Excuse me. Don't be telling other people what they can and can't do. This is about Square-Enix in general, not just KH-2. Which has been delayed a LOT.
