Sleep Does it all matter?

Try to forget your emotions, schedule, hobbies, whatever makes "you". If you look at life ''from the outside', you'll state that everything, including you , is a large group of particles, or even microscopic worlds, who knows? At this point, "I" doesn't exist.

You think that you are free, but you're chained and limited, not only by psysical laws, but also because of our 'society'. They teach you what's right and wrong from the start, so you are practically unable to choose, just "go with the flow", even if you consider yourself a kind of rebel.

And nothing lasts forever. I know that some day i will finish school, and later on, see my family die, then literally disappear. It's inevitable sad. People make up sh*t about ghosts, the after-life(as if such a thing is possible), reincarnation, etc., just to give hope, but those are just myths.

If you think about it, the life you're living now is nothing but a lucid dream, mainly kept going by the media, to prevent ppl from being insane, and going back to stoneage.
Anyway, life is really messed up, since a lot of people fight over cultural, racial, or any kind of differences, which is really dumb.
That's what they do, ppl compare each other, to see who's best, then conquer. Selfish bastards.

Life and all its reactions are just thigs can cannot be understood, only analised and remembered.
Anyway, i know everything will dissapear some day, so what's really the point of living?

P.S. Im depressed.

Because we exist, and we've got 70 or 80 years, so we might as well have some fun while we're here. Life has no purpose. The first microscopic specks of life that ever existed appeared pretty much by chance... And it's just a couple billion years that separates our "purpose" from its "purpose". So there's no point, but there's no point in thinking about it either, because then you'll just get all depressed and not enjoy your time here. The fact that you will inevitably die and there is probably nothing afterwards doesn't mean that you can't lead a full, meaningful life.

"People make up sh*t about ghosts, the after-life(as if such a thing is possible), reincarnation, etc., just to give hope, but those are just myths. "

No one knows that except those that are dead.

I'm not one to make shit up or believe in shit for hope, I'm not that weak minded. I know death can choose to take me at ANY time and whatever is beyond death if anything, I will be a part of it. I believe in the eternal aspect of our souls and that a true nature is spirit not body, eternal beings. I don't believe that to give hope, I believe it because it's what I've chose to believe. No more, no less. I can't prove it but I can't deny it, nor can anyone really.

I'm not living my life in the hope of getting an eternal one after. I'm living my life with many views:

1) If I die and there's nothing, at least I had a kick ass time while here.

2) If I die and there's something, I won't be human anymore so at least I enjoyed my time as a human well.

3) Life is ****ed, for the most part. As amazing a concept it is, it's ****ed. The things we go through are ****ed, the things the world and people around us go through, are ****ed. So wouldn't you wanna have a TIIIINY bit of a reward at the end to know that no matter what place you cross the finish line, that you cross it a winner? Regardless of what's beyond.

"Anyway, i know everything will dissapear some day, so what's really the point of living?"

That's exactly why. That's EXACTLY the point.

Everything WILL be gone some day, our planet, surrounding planets, the sun, everything. So that's the point of living, because we're only in these bodies once, only here once. Everything WILL be gone, so enjoy it while you can and while it's here.

eek! Great Quote Nivek,

and yes i do think it matters, ive gone over this with myself countless times. I mean we seriously only have one ****ing life, why waste it just because we're to lazy to get the hell of our asses and TRY to make a diffrence. personally i think every single human being has a minor but important imback on the world of tommorow.

Were here arn't we, might as well live. No point at all in not using somehting you've got, But part of it is you have to find meaning, even if the meanings futile, you gotta try and find something that makes it worthwhile

There is no overall meaning to life, other than what you make of it. I believe that the point of being here is to live your life as fully as you can. I will admit that I've gone through my share of days where I've thought "Why do I even bother?" But at the same time, I KNOW why I bother: because life is short and I want to make the best of it I can. So instead of dwelling on the fact that everything will eventually be gone, embrace that fact and live it up while you can.

I think that's what most people do wrong.

"Life is short", yeah when compared to infinity.

Life ISN'T short, so don't make yourself think "Life is short so why bother". Realise that you have a lot of time theoretically, so use it.

I think it's the opposite.

For some people (realists), reality is depressing, for some (optimists) reality is positive. I'm a realist and thus depressed.

Yeah, I'm at my happiest when I'm depressed. Optimists merely ignore the tragedy of life - they live a lie.

Wether we die now or in 80 years it wont matter mainly because once we die, nothing remains except our body. No memory no nothing. You couldnt say "well atleast I enjoyed my life" coz you'd be dead and couldnt think anything. Although I do believe you should live your life while you can so when your old and crusty you can think, I was wild back then. I did that!
