Karate Kid vs any comic book Martial artist

I kinda feel that there is not anyone in his league as far as that . He knows every Martial Art in tha universe. Iron fist and Shang Chi, even Goku are just not in his class IMO. School me.

I don't know............ tha Kids done some outragous things heres some I listed in another thread

Tha Karate kid is really underated, he has actually pinned suberboy ( for a few seconds which is a hella feat considering he's human)wit a super grappling move,He's stunned MonEl SEVERAL times and KOed people from Mon EL's home world, even to tha point where one of them was swollen and thought that his jaw was broken.Very impressive. He has stomped tha ground( kinda like tha Hulk) and sent shock waves strong enough to stop an Major tremor,He's doged a punch from Superboy and ultra boy using super speed when they delivered tha blow due to his reflex and reading their body motion which kinda allows him to appear to almost be using super speed himself

Tha guy is tha goods.

I know the marvel stats bro. Don't be fooled by the figures. Iron fist's got a 6 in fighting cos he mastered only Kung fu, unlike Cap and Wolvie's 7 which mastered every form of combat. But it comes down to execution. Who execute it better, i think Iron Fist does. Of course Cap can beat him but only because he stratagize better.

im not doubting your knowlege at all man, i know you know your sh** but im just saying, that martial arts isnt always about form, its also about who can beat who, if Wolverine wants to just do Kata, he can do perfect forms to all of the moves to all the marital arts he knows, but the thing is he doesnt want to, why? because form isnt everything but function is, he knows the world of h2h is about function not fantasy so he worries more about if he wins and less of how he looks

Posting this thread has made me research KK. I've grabbed some Legion of Super hero books from 1965 and KK is just way above what I even remembered. He is in a world of his own as far as Comic book martial artists.

This is some info I came across,This post covers the incarnation of Karate Kid from the Preboot Legion, the first version, which was wiped from existence during Zero Hour. All feats are also Pre-Crisis, as Val died before it occurred.

“Adventure Comics” era:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...46-1-16-LSH.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...46-1-17-LSH.jpg
Karate Kid applies for Legion membership, way back in 19--er--2966. How best to make an impression? Why, by picking a fight with Superboy, of course! Val generally has the edge on speed and agility, but tires quickly and doesn't realize he's not actually hurting Superboy. (In his defense, Kryptonian invulnerability was at its peak in the mid-60's..Kryptonians could pound on each other all day without doing any actual damage.) Superboy wins handily, but Val gets accepted.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ture361_021.jpg
The Legion vs. a bunch of superpowered assassins. Val takes out two at a time with the precisely-aimed halves of a karate-chopped rock.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ture_365-16.jpg
An asphyxiating Val, seconds from death, finds the flaw in a diamond prison and chops his way out. (He really liked karate chops back then. The readers gently suggested he use some other moves for a while.)

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ture_367-17.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ture_367-18.jpg
Val one-punches a 30th-century tank, knocks down a streetful of Dark Circle soldiers by stomping his feet, and then takes out an attacking enemy aircraft with a crowbar.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...nture368p04.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...nture368p05.jpg
Val using Superboy as a practice dummy, and incidentally demonstrating that he's "master of all forms of hand-to-hand combat known in the thirtieth century," including those with weapons. Since Known Space for this era's Legion included multiple galaxies, that's...a lot of combat styles.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...nture373-17.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...nture373-18.jpg
Val vs. Don Allen, a descendant of the second Flash. Don's powers were temporary, but he and his sister Dawn were skilled enough to know Flash's cyclone-generation and vibrational-intangibility tricks--and fast enough that Superboy “couldn’t lay a hand on him”. Val manages to tag him twice and gets the upper hand--until Dawn steps in, anyway...

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...nture378-16.jpg
Val vs. the Persuader. (Who, for those who don’t know, was superhumanly strong and durable.) A punch to the face doesn’t work, so Val chops out a slice of a steel column and downs him with it in the same move.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...nture378-18.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...nture378-19.jpg
An injured Karate Kid, battered by chunks of roof, manages to dodge Validus’ mental lightning. By comparison, a fresh Mon-El tried sneaking up behind Validus, explicitly to avoid the lightning, and still got nailed with a wrap-around bolt.

“Superboy & The Legion of Super-Heroes” era:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...SLSH-198-15.jpg
Val shatters the Emerald Eye of Ekron (for all the good it does him). By comparison, a solid kick from Superboy in the same story did a whole lotta nothing, and in fact at various times Superboy, Mon-El, Ultra Boy and Pulsar Stargrave all took their best shots at the Eye, with results ranging from "knocked away, no noticeable damage" to "didn't budge, no noticeable damage."

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...SLSH-205-11.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...SLSH-205-12.jpg
Ultra Boy tries to escape from a mind-controlled Brainiac 5 and Karate Kid. Val parries his blow and easily takes him out. In his defense, Ultra Boy is “still weak” from being dosed with drugs earlier, though at the time he was strong enough to defeat Superboy.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...oyLSH209-05.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...oyLSH209-06.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...oyLSH209-08.jpg
An impressive pain resistance feat. In this story, Projectra suffers from a "pain plague" which kills every victim within six hours from sheer agony; the other Legionnaires save her by bearing the pain for her. A few seconds of this pain is enough to send Timber Wolf, Saturn Girl and Duo Damsel violently insane; yet Karate Kid endures three hours of it without complaint, meditating--and it's worse than when the other Legionnaires took it on.
Bonus feat: Val immobilizes Timber Wolf with a judo hold. He needed Saturn Girl to blind Brin first, but only because he was afraid he'd accidentally hurt the guy if he had to subdue him with blows--and Brin can take punches from Kryptonians without falling down.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...heroes245-1.jpg
Val knocks down and holds Superboy, who’s being mind-controlled by Mordru.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...oyLSH231-28.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...oyLSH231-30.jpg
Val breaks out of inertron restraints. For those who don't know, inertron is basically the DC version of Secondary Adamantium...not literally unbreakable, but even PC Kryptonians couldn’t bend or break inertron slabs thicker than a couple of inches. Superboy once broke out of inertron chains, but needed the strength of insanity to do it.

From Karate Kid’s own limited series:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid01-16.jpg http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid01-17.jpg
Val gets thrown out a skyscraper window by Nemesis Kid, and by using "the judo techniques of falling," he manages to steer himself toward the building's wall, dig his toes into the concrete, and jump back up through the window. That's some good judo. Then he dodges some “nuclear power blasts” for good measure.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid02-07.jpg
Major Disaster directs a meteorite toward Val. He shatters it with a kick.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid02-15.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid02-16.jpg
Val cancels an earthquake, closes a fissure which threatens to split Manhattan Island in half, collapses the energy field which caused it, and destroys the machine used to create it, all by kicking the ground once. This scene also has the greatest simile I've ever heard, in which an energy field is compared to "a herd of frightened lemmings fleeing an ungracious sea." Isn't that beautiful?

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid11-15.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid11-16.jpg
Val climbs a life-size replica of the World Trade Center, in an unspecified but short time. So does a caveman, but hey, cavemen have superstrength in comics, just like gorillas.

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid12-07.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid12-10.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid12-11.jpg
Val vs. Superboy again. (Misunderstanding, time travel, fake Smallville, etc.) It's a long fight, taking more than the 3 pages I've posted here--Karate Kid #12, if you're interested. They're pretty evenly matched this time--Val dodges Superboy's attacks, takes a couple to the face without going down, throws him around, immobilizes him in his own cape, etc. Finally they agree to a truce, but Val uses a handshake as his chance to put Superboy in an unbreakable hold (not shown here.) Cue the appearance of more Legionnaires next issue...

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid13-02.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid13-03.jpg
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y9...ateKid13-04.jpg
The big pointless fight continues! Val's feats here include:
•Actually putting Superboy down for the count, by a combination of the hold he already put on him and spinning him around at superspeed;
•Knocking down several Legionnaires with said spinning Superboy;
•Dodging a lightning bolt and making sure it nailed Saturn Girl;
•Swinging Superboy around fast enough to block a bolt aimed at Val from behind, as well as a solar energy blast;
•One-shotting Colossal Boy. (But hey, who can't do that?)
