It doesnt work like that Mider. Hes god, not a character that gets involved in petty disputes and battles. TOAA has beings like LT and Phoenix to deal with multiversal threats and below them the abstracts who work on a universal level.
Interestingly enough the M'kraan crystal has ben referred to as the Hear of the Universe a few times in X-titles and even now its still referred to as both the core of creation and the heart of the phoenix.

The Infinites were just rearranging galaxies for some energy matrix their work didnt threaten the existence of the universe therefore it wasnt within Lts jurisdiction. He never got involved in the IG Saga because yes while Thanos would have caused alot of death he only sought to replace the cosmic powers not destroy existence. Survival of the fittest is part of the natural order therefore LT never interfered. He interferred with HOTU because Thanos with that power threatened the entire multiverse he safeguards.
Phoenix works to keep the creation cycle going on and on forever. The destruction of a single universe is inconsequential to a Phoenix as shown in New X-men 154. As long as the creation cycle isnt interfered with, (the birth, growth/evolution and death of universes across creation) then Phoenix doesnt intervene.
To be honest if HOTU really is gods power then id put it on the same level as the Crown. Ive been looking into HOTU recently and the Crown/M'kraan crystal has been called HOTU a few times and its still called "core of creation" and "Heart of the Phoenix" now so to be honest i think HOTU could be The Crowns power. But thats just speculation.
