I thought Mandarin was strong enough to rip apart Iron Man's armor with his bare hands? I also thought he had some level of enhanced speed thanks to..I dunno, kung fu shit?

^ Yes, pretty much. He's done so on quite a few occasions and trained himself to become even better.
Thing is, Magneto w/ amping is a beast, too. He may be out of Mandarin's league.
Rarely shown, but yes, he does have it.
So does Magneto, though... his reaction time is superhuman, we've seen that stated and explained on panel. And as for feats, he grabbed Northstar himself, commenting that he was inferior to his son.
Which version of Northstar? what is Magneto's best amping feat? I mean he obviously can withstand being punched in the boob by Colossus.

Don't tell me you haven't read Claremont's Uncanny X-Men...? Colossus landed a full-force hit on Mags' face (helmet was removed by Kurt), hoping to decapitate him... out of character, but X-Men were done toying with Mags... he was shocked that Magneto's head was still attached. Hell, he wasn't even KO'd.
