Never let anyone else define you. Don't be a jerk just to be a jerk, but if you are expressing your true inner feelings and beliefs, or at least trying to express that inner child, and everyone gets pissed off about it, never NEVER apologize for it. Let them think what they want, let them define you in their narrow little minds while they suppress every last piece of them just to keep a friend that never liked them for themselves in the first place.
Also access to military equitment, rpg's and such.

Or as simple as not putting his entire army in front of the most dangerous weapon the governer has at his disposal?
Hey, i bow to your expertise on the matter; i mean, i only spent 20+ years in the Army, w. multiple combat deployments. Its not like i know what i’m talking about.
Without support, that tank is more for psychological warfare than anything else. Against mobile infantry in a (potentially) built up area? I wouldn't bank on it being a winner.
Your acting as if a Tank can’t hide from miles away and still be able to kill with accuracy? Worse yet, your thinking the Governor doesn’t have other types of rounds in his arsenal?
Saviours win this. The tank is kinda overrated. It’s an asset to Woodbury of course but how much value is that really going to give? If it’s fighting a battle in one area then it obviously can’t guard another or be a deterrent elsewhere.
A tank isn’t as simple as having a get out of jail free card. In a WW1 running over the trenches scenario maybe it would. But in the multifaceted warfare that would naturally occur.
Like riv says the Saviors are superior when it comes to psychological warfare. The Governor was a wild off the rails psychopath but he doesn’t compare to the meticulous planning and intelligence Negan has.
There are a lot of subjects duscussed on this site i have no problem deferring to others on, as they have more knowledge (politics, organized religion, certain aspects of the entertainment industry, comics circa 2010-2017, video games, sports other than pro wrestling), but, when it comes to something as simple as keeping your troops away from the one piece of heavy ordnance the enemy has, i’m not going to acquiesce to someone who’s knowledge of military tactics is pretty obviously limited to what he -thinks- he’s learned playing CALL OF DUTY.

The tank didn't really play a large role in the battle at the prison. Negan's camp also seemed to have a higher percentage of the population trained to fight.
BTW, WELCOME BACK, SCOT!!

Never played called of duty, but my knowledge when it comes to the Military is amount to 6 years of active duty. 2 combat deployment. Crossed trained with Mortars and Tankers even though I am in 11B.
In the comics, they didn't know how to load and fire the tank. They could drive around in it, that's all, and it still took then ages to learn how to do so.
I wouldn't place much hope in it. As an active member, imagine you had the shittiest member of your platoon driving what is essentially a really large, slow bus around.
So basically it was mostly if not entirely useful as "hey you're ****ed, we have a tank. Please just run away, we totally know how to use it but uh don't want to hurt you, yeah that's it." So it was all bark, no bite. A mechanical LoB.

Stopped reading TWD a long time ago. Never knew they didn’t know how to drive said Tank. But know this. Even with rounds, a Tank is a dangerous weapon to have on the battlefield. If Negan and his team are equip with only m4’s or below, then they are useless against said Tank.
I also assumed since he made the thread, the Tank that’s being used is being operated by people that can actually use them, and their equipped with the normal weapons a Tank comes with.
Not only does a Tank hasn’t it’s main gun, but it also have coax, a 240, grenade launchers.
I love love to know what any foot soldier equipped with nothing but M4’s are Ak’s going to do to said beast. Remember, a Tank can fire its main gun accurately from close, if not more than 2 click away.
But why would you assume it's staffed with competent people?
As the whole point was that Woodbury weren't actually that skilled at operating the tank. They specifically CAN'T fire it's main gun, two clicks or not.
And that's firing. The driving is also substandard, and that was iirc over an open field.
In the TV show, a grenade took it out iirc. And Negan has grenades.
