What do you consider limited? While I'm not a Grood expert...I've seen him hold up three people with his Tk. I assume Wolverine doesn't weigh more than 3 humans.
Without Tk, Wolverine wins no doubt...with TK, Wolverine still wins but it takes longer.

Without any powers, Grodd performs in exactly the same way someone without any powers would perform against Wolverine.
He gets diced in one continuous beautiful move.
Wolverine has the physical attributes, speed and (yes, even though it’s forgotten) martial skills experience to literally be in any top-10 list of fighters.
And that is before you add a high-level mutant healing factor (and strength, another thing that’s forgotten), heightened senses that make him make even better use of his speed, and several foot-long, molecule-sharp, unbreakable ginsu knives on each fist!
Grodd has no chance.
In the same way Wolverine would have no chance if Grodd had access to TP and the Speed Force.
Wolverine has numerous defenses against tp, so it'd a toss-up.
Grodd's telepathy is not infallible and neither are Wolverine's defenses. But I'd be willing to side with him than someone struggling with Nightwing or with Flash at his dumbest.
