Jedi Wages?
So, do Jedi get paid to risk their life on the line almost every part of their life? Or are they just peaceful and wholesome enough to do what they do for free?

Well Yes! I can imagine being a Jedi isn't easy... And i am sure what the Council and the Masters will teach you is worth more than money, but is that gonna put the food on the table?

The Jedi are an Order, so I'd imagine it to be like a Monastery. They have the funds at their disposal, but those dedicated to the Order would settle for having all their living expenses (food, shelter, clothing) provided in exchange for monastic services.
But they dont buy important stuff like TV and video games with it. They buy transport with people unfriendly to the Republic and pay double taxes just for fun.(sarcasm)

Jedi have money at their disposal... (And quite a bit, actually) but when in the field, even most masters are given only a certain amount and told ot make due. Jedi must be practical but unassuming, and if they have to rent a flophouse and eat reprocessed food because they only got 100 credits, so be it.
But Jedi preach nonattachment, so naturally they wouldn't be greedy.
