i just watched these films for the first time the other night and far from being shocked and appalled as most ppl said i would be i actually found them to be rather humorous,,anybody else seen em? wat did you think of em
I tried to watch one once, and it was kinda funny and interesting for a few minutes, then got really boring and redundant. The novelty wears off almost immediately.

It is understandble that many people will consider Bumfights to be tasteless and also repugnant to watch. But don't people also laugh at the stupid stunts committed by the Jackass crew? It is basically the same thing. Except that these a bums are getting into knuckle fights and beating each other and getting small sum of money as payment. People love the WWE and you see people getting beat up to a pulp (the beatings are not fake) and people pay to see this! What is the difference? Bumfights is a more brutal form of an entertainment than WWE. And because some of us (yes that includes myself) find it entertaining we're brutes and senseless people?

The "superstars" of the WWE go back to their mansions and get lavish in their wealth. The average wrestler does not have the same fortune. Therefore he is in the same situation as a bum from Bumfights. These people are homeless because they can't get a job or are too lazy to get a job. Those that are too lazy get involved in these bumfights.
Would I take a chair shot to the head for $100,000? You Betcha I will! When I was 17 years old I love to be in BYW (Back Yard Wrestling) and I got mine fair share of beatings. I did it back then and I would do it again. It is my stupid decision so I would only blame myself no one else.
As I said Bumfights isn't for everyone. Just like pornography. Is tasteless but some people love to watch it. And no PVS I won't give you that old reply of "Don't like it? don't watch it". If you don't like it that is fine me.
have you ever known a professional wrestler? i've known a few. all very different but with one thing in common. THEY LOVE IT. its not just a way to get payed, they just live for what they do. sure they all wished to become millionares and fell short, but they all told me the same thing: "its not a profession you go into for money." if you're lucky, VERY lucky, you make a good living off of it, and they all know that going into it. point is, they got into it not out of necessity, but love.
with that aside, they all have the potential for wealth and fame. the bums however do not. they only have the potential to win a small cash prize which is ultimately meaningless. none of them fight because they have hopes that it will take them to greater heights. none of them love what they do. they are just trying to put food (or booze) in their stomachs, while those who exploit them get rich. this is disgusting imo. to subscribe is to support this.
on a side note, if those homeless people were given a substantial share of profits, i would'nt hate the idea. if they could actually make a living as opposed to being able to buy a 40 and a happy meal, that would be ok i think. but this is just another case of someone profiting off of the tragic misery of others.
