I disagree, I really didn't think he was that bad of a choice and it obviously worked because up until now the other Batman movies after him sucked ass. I thought he was a better choice than Kilmer and Clooney but Bale is by far the best choice of them all.

Keaton was HARDLY the worst Batman/Wayne. Has anyone forgotten George Clooney? Or even Adam West? I admit, West is too easy a target, and the time era for Batman was way disillusioned, but still. Although, Val Kilmer, IMO, was better than Keaton.
At the time, well for a while he was the best. I don't care what any one says. without those movies we wouldn't have had the animated series, and Danny elman's score, and the best "imho" on screen batmobile ever.

I thought Keaton did an excellent job with the character, he actually tried to portray Bruce/Batman whereas Kilmer and Clooney just played themselves (and sucked exponentially).
I thought Bale did a good job, but it was a different movie, a different feel. It would be hard to compare the two, but I think Keaton's version of Batman/Bruce was by far the most entertaining.

I thought Keaton was by far the best Batman/Bruce....i mean Bale was good but Keaton was the definitive and Batman and Batman Returns were the best Batman films ever
Now THAT is the riot of the century. Keaton brought no credibility to the role because he didnt even come close to fitting the part.I'll take Val Kilmer over Keaton any day of the year. Bale of course is the one and ONLY true Batman.
