what about superman? the man of steel. so, really they should cuz adamantium can slice steel, but i think they just call him the man of steel to show how durable he is. its really just invulnerability. IMO wolvies claws shouldnt be able to penetrate supes.
why not? IMO its a good question. u got something sharp and literally indestructible molecularly=(adamantium) vs Invulnerability, which gives him steel-like skin. and yea, Wolve could cut through Cage IMO, ive seen him slice through solid titanium doors and some other things.
A metal knife is technically stronger material than, say, a brick wall. But we don't possess the force required for it to penetrate the surface. Thus, it would take a force beyond what a normal human can muster to effectively "stab" a brick wall with a metal knife.
Same principle, but it depends on the force Logan can put into it.
So yeah, Wolverine's claws have a limit. But I'd say he would probably be able to penetrate Cage's skin.
He can cut Luke's skin - it's listed in his bio that he can be pierced by sharpened adamantium - but probably can't damage him very much, because he doesn't have the strength to cut into him very deeply.
And Ben was cut by Wolverine. His face was disfigured by Logan after an errant slash during the mid 90's. Look for the Ron Marz/Bart Sears run on Silver Surfer for proof.

Taking a punch should have no real bearing on whether or not someone can get cut. Its not a strength test here. That said yes Wolverine's claws can cut Cage but at Logan's strength level I don't think he'll be able to hurt him much
Yet he can shove all 12 inches of his claws through Thing who is tougher than Cage???
Cuts through foot thick Omnium Steel like it's not even there. That's zero resistance for those not paying any attention.
Your point is???
Your point is???
your point is???
And yet he's done it....easily.
Yet....He's done it........Oh that's right, you mentally block out any Wolvy feats that dont make him suck.
Why wouldn't they be? Modern science can pretty much do that and you dont have to worry about making the edge too brittle since it's indestructible.
