Thats right, Call of Duty 4, should be good, although I am a little worried about the fact that they said it will be leaving the World War 2 era and be focusing on modern combat
This installment will be developed by Infinity Ward, apparently every even numbered game will be developed by them and all odd will be done by Treyarch.
The WWII setting has gotten incredibly stale, COD3 is basically an expansion for COD2. A change is needed, badly. And this change sounds very exciting.
already another one? amazing speed of making video games...they made 2 of them after halo2, and both were done before another halo could come out...i wonder if the 4th will make it b4 halo3....
Well, because it was done by two developing firms.
And once you done one CoD, the rest are pretty easy.
But I agree with Backfire, thank god for the modern combat but think about it, updated graphics (PC yah and dx10 awesomeness), modern combat and insanity of Call of Duty games.....seems amazing and not your typical modern day shooter where strategy is invovled.
Why does every ****ing modern shooter have to involve strategy and moving your teammates everywhere.....I want an damn arcade intense shooter like Call of Duty and were going to get one...awesome.
You know, intro sequence......same looking guys looking at you, throw in a couple of planes flying by, get off of a truck, boat, whatever, bam, machine gun nests, and then artillary. How many times do we have to go through that. (dont get me wrong, still pretty damn fun, but yeah, old)
And they're was always an sneaking mission and some sort of car scene where you either drive, or shoot guys in the passanger seat.
Hopefully, COD 4 somewhat changes it because it was the actual setting that was getting old, but gameplay behind it.
Gender: Male Location: Welfare Kingdom of California
It's WWII and what else do you expect? A bunch of old building in Europe burning, some desert in Africa, ice cold Siberia, a lonely beach in the South Pacific...it's suppose to be like that...I couldn't understand why change settings or the enviroment of the game.
I mean..you're buying a WWII game and that's what you get. If the same weapons and enemies put you off then there are other FPS to play.
