Now that the Star Wars Saga is over, George Lucas is still going to make movies.
Lucas is already planning his next big screen adventure, to be called RED TAILS.
He says, "(Red Tails is) about African-American fighter pilots during World War II. They were escort fighters and the only fighter unit during the war that never lost a bomber. So they were the best."
That movie is a direct response from Lucas to all those claims of racism in the Star Wars prequels.
Lol--"I'm the best pilot in the whole damn Army."

Just thought it should be clarified that George Lucas didn't direct this. He helped write it apparently. But I'm sure we can still expect to see gophers..
I'm going to see it anyway though, with my sister, because there is indeed a shortage of competent black actors in Hollywood right now (Sammy J, Denzel Washington, Danny Glover and Morgan Freeman can't do every role), and if movies like this do indeed do well enough then it draws attention to new talent. Which is a good thing.

Don't forget Will Smiff and Jamie Foxx! Both extremely talented.
It will depend on the characters/talent, though. I think the special effects look really good from the trailer, cuz like Robtard pointed out, ILM does impressive work. But the special effects won't carry the film alone.

As well as Don Cheadle, Cuba Gooding Jr., and Terrance Howard. What do all these cats have in common though? They're all in their fourties and older. We can't depend on them forever, lol. That leaves like... Tyrese, Michael Jae White, Idris Alba, that black dude from Blood Diamond, a couple part-timers like Mos Def and Ludacris... the future is not bright for black actors. It's even more dreary for women.
And yeah, I agree with you; the movie doesn't look all that good. I'll support it anyway though.
