Sue.

Whilst Barda is strong enough to support a continent (hyperbole?):
https://static.comicvine.com/upload...la__25_pg06.jpg

Her Mega Rod 'only' strikes at 5 tons per square inch:
https://static.comicvine.com/upload...59009-17973.jpg

That equates to about 69MPa. Which is obv high, but nothing Sue can't handle. It's about three times the Oklahoma City bomb's pressure.

IOW, if Sue bubbles Barda up, she could pound it but she couldn't break out.

Multiple strikes, constantly? Maybe. But that assumes the damage is cumulative.

DS, what about Barda's other options that are available to her? How would her tech work out for her here?

How does that pressure compare to the pressure of re-entering Earth's atmosphere from space? Cause Sue coulnd't handle the pressure and passed out :

Her Mbox could well grant her some wins indeed. I could see her using it, actually. Hmmm may be convincing myself here.

Her rod reamed Superman. smile

And New Gods in general have super speed. Even with Sues anti-speedster feats (And again, if we can accept hers, why not accept Slade's? When is it pis?), I still think a rough Wonder Woman equivilent with a laser beam/plot device can out quickdraw her.

That was ages ago.

Now, Sue can do this:

(please log in to view the image)
(please log in to view the image)

A city sized (or at the very least, several buildings' sized) bubble. At the bottom of the ocean. For an entire day. As missiles and rockets hit it throughout the day.

As a guide, here are the magnitudes of pressure:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orders_of_magnitude_(pressure)

IOW, Barda is 'only' able to replicate pressures of the ocean depths. Something that Susan is able to tank all day, over an area the size of a city (so one can assume the smaller the bubble needed, the stronger/longer she can make them) even with the added pressure of it being attacked.

thumb up I try to be fair, and tbh, it's always best to try and see both sides of an argument.

If there are any, of course. Good thread here, though.

Wait one sec, the scan says "The Gulf of Thailand" no? That's 279ft deep MAX according to Wikipedia . That's hardly impressive in terms of pressure.

EDIT :
According to this - http://www.calctool.org/CALC/other/games/depth_press
The pressure at the deepest part of the Gulf of Thailand works out to 9.55729e+8mPa. If Barda really strikes at 69mPa that's almost 8 times the pressure. Sue is effed in the a.

Well, no. Because she held it for a whole day. Over several buildings. Whilst Namor was bombarding them with attacks.

Compared to, say, a human sized bubble - she can hold that for much longer, is my point. And much stronger.

So there is this. A bomb designed specifically to kill heroes - a nuke. Even Hulk/Thor are recoiling in fear:

Btw, the smallest nuke I could find on that wiki page was 540 TPa. Tera. That's like a million times more pressure than Barda can output. And Susan was just about able to redirect it.

And we don't want to talk about piercing pressure. Wolverine has stabbed everyone of note - Thanos, Hulk, Gladiator, you name it.

Not Sue:

To be fair, she's only redirecting it and even then she admits the strain is too much. If Barda really is strong enough to support the weight of a continent even for a few seconds.........
