Why have none of the previous Anomalies revealed, that the prophecy is a lie? Suggestions, ideas, thoughts?

Kes> But faith in something which is so obviously and blatantly a lie? If, say, the fifth One had warned the new inhabitants of Zion, the rebels would be much better equipped to fight the machines.

it's kind of like "cat's cradle" by kurt vonnegut, and the religion of bokkononism (sp).
while the highest players all knew that the made-up faith was pure bull, without it the people's hope, livelihood, and eventual purpose for existence would all wither away.
kes has a point. but so does omega. you'd figure that at least one of them would want to try to prepare the zionists for the machines.

What if the one dies once he picks the 23 people to rebuild Zion? No one really knows what would've happened once Neo enter the "Source"...

Dexx> The Architect told us, that at the end of each Matrix 2.0 loop, Zion is utterly destroyed, every woman/man/child there is killed. The One is allowed to choose 23 people FROM the Matrix and rebuild Zion. So, why these 23 people have no clue about the loops, the One still does. He and they arrive at the remains of Zion to rebuild it, so the One should know what’s happening.
Unless, of course joining with the Source means brainwash.

but wouldn't the one wonder how he got out then? i don't think there's any brainwashing involved. something is definitely curious about it.

Because the One knew if he broke his word to the Machines to do what is asked the Machines would consider the humans too much trouble to continue with the Matrix and would destroy them PERMANENTLY.
The whole point is that the One has to choose to work the the Machines as it is the only way to continue the survival of the human race. If he stops working with the machines, the humans die.

a) revolutions isn't out yet.

Ush has a good point. Namely that the previous Ones have chosen to keep silent, to corporate with the Machines to ensure the continued existence of the human race. It does make sense, come to think of it.
The previous Ones have gone through more or less the same ordeal as Neo has. At the time he meets the Architect he (or she?) has more power in the matrix than any other rebel, the machines are digging, and if he does not corporate, humanity perishes. If he can not end the war, why should the next One be able to? Why not prefer to keep humanity alive, albeit in slavery, than to be the doom of the entire species?

Well, because of Neo will never find out now will we? Stupid heroes, always having to go beyond to defeat evil... Just kidding, to me its cool to see the good guy get really souped up and sort of surprise the bad guy. Neo did that at the end, he saved Trinity and is going to save all of humanity!!
