I live in Tennessee and yesterday we got a state lottery! Now I have lived in other states that have had it but here it seems to be a huge deal. There have been protests and alot of ppl aren't happy......... The way I see it there are advantages and dissadvantages to everything inclulding this, the question is which one weighs out?!?
I can't make up my mind. I love that more scholarships are going to be avaible, but last night as I stood in a line (to get milk) of more than 20 ppl waiting to buy tickets i was torn. Most of the ppl who were spending $50-$100 worth of tickets, were the some of the same ppl who I cash unemployment checks for, and who..... well it is hard to say it w/o sounding bitchy but ppl who really can't aford it.
well, i live in NY, it isn't that bad out here. the occassional few people are waiting to buy a ticket in front of me, but i guess i have gotten used to it... Give it time, when people keep playin and losing, it wun be as bad as it is now
hey...i live in Tennessee also. and i think the lottery is a GREAT thing cuz now i can go to college and have a good future. i definitely think it is worth it for all the other ppl in my position.[COLOR=indigo][B]
