Swamp Thing vs. Adam Warlock (With Soul Gem)
Fight takes place in a fairly well flora covered area (not a swamp or a rain forest... think like...a decidious forest)
Adam Warlock does have the soul gem.
Now my question is basically... would the soul gem work on the Swamp Thing?

That's not always the case. 
The Soul Gem has shown an inability to effect beings such as Galactus.
There is nothing to suggest it would have any more effect on an earth Elemental.
