A bye in tournament lingo is basically a free pass, a competitor with a bye doesn't have to fight in whatever round he has the bye in.

I think Itachi owns Hidan with ease in the first fight.
I think this is a too close to call battle, but I would say Sasori.
Deidara places clay bombs under Kakuzu and blows him up.
