Not sure, Hulks healing factor is his defense against it, Thors entire being exists on a different level or time or some nonsense, not sure about Supermans defense against it.
Tbh, I cant even remember many instances where it has been used against them

Hulk. The guy was turned to stone and bypassed it. The guy was turned to the size of a mouse and bypassed it via rage. It works against him but he usually bypass it. Turned into glass and bypassed it. The list goes on and on and on.
