3. His friend is recording prior to the attack starting and the Macy's worker is clearly not paying attention to the attacker.
4. Macy's investigated all the "evidence" and determined that the attack was unprovoked, directly contradicting FT Quay's - the friend who recorded the attack and uploaded it - narrative.
5. FT Quay's narrative: His friend asked about a shirt size and the Macy's worker responded. Then the Macy's worker, who was on the phone, told the person on the other end that it was "no one just sum n*gger" under his breath.
Here's my guess at what actually happened:
The attack was because he touched the attacker prior to the video starting. The first words out of the attacker's mouth after the sucker punch "Boy...boy....you don't touch me, n*gger*." The Macy's worker first words are "what did you do that for?!?!" And then verbally defends himself and says, "I didn't touch you."
*He used the hard "r' for some reason the first time he said it. Seems odd.
The attacker, like many young black men in the US, is likely homophobic. When he asked the Macy's worker about the shirt, it's possible the gay man touched the attacker's shoulder or arm and that caused the attack.
If the Macy's employee did say that under his breath to the person on his phone, that does not warrant a violent assault like that. The attacker would have been better served reporting that to Macy's management and then to the news - that guy's life would have been pretty much cancelled. Based on FT Quay's weaponized use of Social Media, FT Quay would have been aware of that. This is part of why the racial slur narrative just doesn't fly to me.
Also, posting a video of a young black man being disgustingly violent does nothing to actually stop the racism and "get justice." All it does it send the closeted racists deeper into the closet and neutral people start walking towards that closet.
One thing is for sure, social media and cameras being everywhere is making these things appear much more often than in the past. All sorts of dirty deeds are being more more public. We are truly neck deep in the information age.
homophobia is rampant in the black community so...not surprising.

Never let anyone else define you. Don't be a jerk just to be a jerk, but if you are expressing your true inner feelings and beliefs, or at least trying to express that inner child, and everyone gets pissed off about it, never NEVER apologize for it. Let them think what they want, let them define you in their narrow little minds while they suppress every last piece of them just to keep a friend that never liked them for themselves in the first place.
