First: I am a LOTR fan.
Second: Ok. Maybe "hate" is a to strong word, but when i saw fellowship of the ring i feel sad.
I was waiting for a movie of LOTR since about 20 years ago since i saw the Fellowship of the ring's animation japanese movie, and then after reading all the books, traveling several times to london to buy all that i could about Tolkien and seek something new....i gave up...but one happy day when all of my dreams come true and i was enjoying a lot the LOTR movie, i scream with sadness and horror: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! It is Viggo Mortensen - I said...And the great Aragorn fall from is tumb and gave me seven...
Just a joke...but i don't like Viggo an Orlando too..

Viggo talks VERY deep in 'real life' and it suits Aragorns character PERFECTLY. It shows a dark past, but at the same time shows so much hope in what he could become. Brilliant.

Okay..viggo has portrayed aragorn very amazingly, why you say he doesnt, has gotten me completely lost! Viggo is everything lord of the rings needed for the character aragorn, its his look, his acting, his voice, just everything, he fits the character aragorn so wonderfully!
And elves arent gay, elves are actually fascinating creatures, big woop they are blondes, but thats what makes them unique in their own ways, thats the way some elves hair was in middle earth, not all elves are blonde, arwen isnt a blonde, its not right to diss elves because they are blondes, they are very amazing!
All of the actors and actress's have done a terriffic job being their characters in lord of the rings

I wasn't looking for forums concerning LOTR but I stumbled upon this and I just had to write a response.
True, everybody is entitled to their own opinions but it can only go so far. And, as said earlier, the mentionning of Arwen? Please...grow up! We're talking about a movie made for teenagers, NOT adult-rated movies. Now to my point...
I know this post isn't about elves in particular but you did mention them, claiming that they're "gay". For your information, not ALL the elves in the movie are blonde. Your beloved Arwen most definitely isn't (unless you're colour blind). And Orlando Bloom (who is my friend's first cousin, btw) plays the role of Legolas very well. And suppose you think the elves are gay because they always brush their hair and whatnot...at least they'll live forever!
Heheh, glad to see y'all are very emotional about this at least, though I do think some of you are overreacting. But just as Corlindel is entitled to his opinion, so are you entitled to criticise it, as long as it stays away from offensive grounds.

Youve got some nerve, but then again everyone has his/her own opinion, thankfully. But I totally disagree, because Viggo Mortensen plays a very convincing Aragorn. And of course he is not bad to look at either . I adore him

aragorns voice i think suits him, viggo has a very deep voice in real life (like me) and if you dont like the movies as well as the books your head is emptier than a hermits adress book (like that one uranidiot)
