I liked Sirius as well, but might I remind you at the end of the book when Nearly Headless Nick said he SAW Sirius after he died? And Sirius didn't become a ghost? He's dead, and JKR isn't gonna bring him back to life, because it would be stupid. Harry's parents couldn't come back, and neither can Sirius. Although, maybe Harry will be able to make some kind of contact with Sirius, like he did with his parents, and Cedric and them in the 4th book.  It'd be pretty cool.

Nearly headless nick told harry that sirius would not come back but i think thats a good thing. sirius was my favourite character by far but i think its stupid when people die in books and then come back 2 life. i think that harry will contact him tho. Even tho its really sad about sirius dying i think its going 2 b interesting 2 c how harry reacts 2 it in the next book. I was so depressed when sirius died but now that ive had a chance 2 get over it i think its not really such a bad thing. it sets up the next book really well.

well.....i agree that sirius mite not be a person in the next book but i do think he will make contact with him.....i don't know about Cedric though...it seems a bit old now.

Fuoco, do you own the 5th Harry Potter book? If so I think you should re-read the last chapter or 2. It explains about how Sirius is actually dead, and Nick saw him and Sirius isn't going to become a ghost. Sirius is gone.

XxSamanthaxX, u sure or not. from what i remember it think harry go and ask nearly headless nick if he can see Sirius as a ghost and nearly headless nick told him only some ppl choose to be a ghost while other don't and that he haven't seen him.
i think he might come back, because JK could have killed him in a lot of ways but the way that he died seems like there might be a slight chance that he could maybe cross some line between dead and life or something and come back. afterall they could talk to the dead throught that curtain.

WAIT A MINUTE!!! I JUST THOT OF SOMETHING!!! MAYBE SIRIUS CAN COME BACK!!! MEMBER IN THE 3RD BOOK, HERMOINE HAD THAT TIME-CHANGER THAT THEY USED TO GO BACK IN TIME AND SAVE SIRIUS AND BUCKBEAK?! Well maybe they can use it to go back and save sirius, for 'future harry' to warn 'past harry' about the vision he had about sirius being tortured was just a set up [which would be a big risk, hermione telling him that past and future selves are not allowed to make any contact with eachother], so that he won't go, but that would defeat the purpose of the rest of the book. dunno just a thot, it may or may not work, but I was thinkin bout it and it hit me!!

Ur right, JK didnt say what kinda spell Bella hit Sirius with!! It could have been a stunning spell that knocked Sirius unconcious, so when Harry called for him, he couldn't respond coz he was knocked out!!!

Iim pretty much convinced that sirius is dead. It is a little uncertain coz of the veil thing but i think jk added that in 4 the purpose of the future books. The rest of the order probably no something that harry doesn't coz they were like "he's gone". we'll probably find out about it in the next book anyway. I just don't think jk would kill off a character and then come out and say "just kidding, hes really still alive."
