yeah, he was weaker on earth - barely strong enough to demolish the entire jla until supes arrived! and supes wrestled him a la jacob v the angel. i doubt supes have actually beaten him. yah, asmodel was pretty 'weak' . . .

that scene where all the dc icons are watching superman in awe was one of the greatest scenes i've ever read in a comic. anyone doubts supes's power, or that he's capable of beating almost anyone, should read that arc in jla. something like 7 or 8 of the recent series.
